My Story

No Distractions Beauty was born from understanding the importance of self-confidence and the belief that every woman deserves to look and feel her very best. In 2017, I began a home based business representing a skincare and professional make-up line, LimeLife by Alcone. I loved showing women how high quality makeup and a little guidance could make their routine easier and accentuate their natural beauty even more. And that’s when I saw it- that boost- it was like that slight change to the outside made their inner light shine a little brighter. And that was my lightbulb moment. I wanted to eliminate the distractions.

Over the next year, my passion continued to grow. Besides make-up, I also aimed to teach women the importance of good skincare and how all of this played an important role in self-care. Women typically are so busy taking care of others, it leaves little time for themselves. This was lightbulb moment number two. I wanted to help take care of these hard working women.

My natural affinity for reading and research led me to dive deep into the health and beauty industry. I researched cosmetic and skincare ingredients, watch videos, and spent hours reading about the uses of different oils and herbs. Eventually, the reading and research led me to click on an ad for esthetician schools. I knew right away that this would combine all my passion, my love of research, and my desire to help.

Central Oklahoma College taught me chemistry, biology, and anatomy- all the behind the scenes basics that an esthetician needs. I developed my techniques and learned facial protocols. I learned about different skin types and conditions and even bacteria and diseases. I learned to wax, tint, lift, how to apply lash extensions, color theory, and more make-up techniques. I‘m also very well versed in safety and sanitation.
