My interest in helping others began when I was very young. I am truly passionate about what I do and never consider it work, it is part of who I am.

Edmond’s holistic wellness center
Massage • Acupuncture • Recovery • Red Light Therapy
Prevent • Recover • Maintain
Independent wellness professionals under one roof I began my career working as a Habilitation Training Specialist with individuals with disabilities, helping them to learn daily living activities and assisting in other therapies. After following other interests I was led back to my original passion for helping others when I discovered Massage Therapy. I have been a Therapist since 2005 and have been fortunate enough to have had a variety of clients presenting me with a great knowledge base for many different conditions. I continue to further my education so that my client's will always be confident in receiving therapy from me and so that I am able to help as many as possible. My practice is based on the belief that each client's needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals. I would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry. My goal is to help keep current and future clients as well as those just seeking more information to stay informed, learn the benefits and possibly the truth to those myths and mysteries about the many modalities of Massage Therapy.

Live Well 360 Wellness Center is changing. 🩷

This is a post I honestly didn’t expect to be writing quite yet, but after a lot of reflection, number crunching, and some very real conversations with myself about what I want the next chapter of my life and career to look like, I’ve made a big decision.

Live Well 360 Wellness Center will be closing our Edmond location at the end of September.

But I want to be very clear:

Live Well 360 isn’t going away. It’s evolving.

For more than 20 years, so much of my professional life has centered around massage therapy and helping people feel and function better in their bodies. I love what I’ve been able to do, the people I’ve helped, and the relationships I’ve built along the way.

But somewhere along the way, I realized that the business I had built was requiring so much of my time and energy that I wasn’t able to build the business—and the life—I actually want next.

My passion has continued to expand into nutrition, whole-person wellness, education and coaching, and I’ve been working toward that transition for quite some time. I’m currently completing my nutrition and wellness certifications, developing coaching programs, and working on several wellness projects that I’ve continually had to put on the back burner because there simply haven’t been enough hours in the day.

And eventually, my vision is to bring Live Well 360 back to Oklahoma City in an entirely new way—a wellness-focused space built around prevention, recovery, education and helping people create healthier lives.

Prevent. Recover. Maintain.

That mission hasn’t changed.

The way I fulfill it is changing.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has walked through our doors, trusted our providers, referred friends and family, shared our posts, attended our events, supported our small business, or simply cheered us on.

I’m also incredibly grateful for Marisol and Dr. Kenelle Shepherd and the care they’ve given the people who have come through Live Well 360. We’ll be sharing information about their next steps so their clients know how to continue working with them.

This isn’t a goodbye post.

It’s a “watch what comes next” post.

Sometimes growth looks like adding more.

And sometimes growth means being willing to let go of something good because you finally realize it’s keeping you from building what’s next.

Thank you for being part of Live Well 360.

I’m not done.

I’m just changing direction.

Forevermore

…we need to talk about the REDNESS. 🔴👀

If you’ve ever seen photos or videos of IASTM/“scraping,” you may have thought:

“Why does their skin look like THAT?!” 😳

When Marisol performs Targeted Muscle Release, the tool creates mechanical pressure and friction as it’s moved over the skin and soft tissue. That can temporarily increase local blood flow and leave the skin looking pink or red afterward.

Depending on the technique and individual response, some people can also develop small red or purple spots called petechiae.

But here’s the important part:

MORE MARKS ≠ BETTER TREATMENT.

The goal isn’t to see how red—or bruised-looking—we can make you. 😂

Targeted Muscle Release should be based on what the therapist is trying to accomplish, how your tissues respond, and your comfort—not how dramatic the after-picture looks.

And that brings us perfectly to tomorrow:

Does scraping NEED to leave marks to actually work? 👀

Before I answer that one, I’m curious: Have the red marks you’ve seen online ever made you hesitant to try scraping/IASTM?

08/26/2026

Okay…but DOES “scraping” hurt?! 😳

After showing you Marisol’s Targeted Muscle Release tools this week, I KNOW some of you have been looking at them thinking, There is absolutely no way that feels good.

Here’s the thing: Targeted Muscle Release isn’t supposed to be a test of how much pain you can tolerate.

The technique—called IASTM—can be adjusted based on the area being treated, what the therapist is finding, and how YOUR body responds.

Some areas may feel more sensitive than others, and communication with your therapist matters. More aggressive does not automatically mean more effective.

That’s something I want people to understand about therapeutic massage in general:

The goal isn’t to survive your treatment. The goal is to accomplish something with it.

Now that we’ve handled THAT question, there’s another one coming…

🔴 Why can your skin turn RED during Targeted Muscle Release—and does it have to?

That’s next. 👀

For those of you who have actually had IASTM/scraping before: what did it feel like to YOU? I’m curious how different everyone’s experience was.

Your Practice Deserves More Than Four Walls

We’re a little colorful. A little eclectic. Full of plants, personality, and probably more turquoise than absolutely necessary. 😁

But Live Well 360 was never meant to feel like a row of identical salon suites.

It was created to feel comfortable, welcoming, and human—a place where clients can walk in, exhale, and know they’re somewhere that genuinely cares about wellness.

And right now, we have room for a few more amazing professionals to make this space their professional home.

✨PRIVATE WELLNESS ROOM
A private, unfurnished room ready for you to make completely your own. Ideal for a wellness professional whose services complement our existing offerings.

✨MASSAGE THERAPIST
A fully furnished treatment room for an experienced Licensed Massage Therapist looking to build their own independent practice—with the added benefit of potential referrals from our existing clientele.

✨ FULLY FURNISHED ESTHETIC ROOM
A move-in-ready private treatment room for an independent esthetician or beauty/wellness professional. Equipment and furnishings are already in place, so you can focus on building your business instead of furnishing a room from scratch.

These aren’t just rooms for rent.

You get the independence of running your own business while working inside an established wellness center with shared reception/waiting areas, Wi-Fi, utilities, parking, and a community already focused on health and wellness.

And yes—the plants are real.

Some are currently handling Oklahoma summer better than others. 😂

Well…apparently you guys REALLY wanted to know what was inside that case. 😂

More than 500 of you watched yesterday’s Reel, so let’s keep going.

These are the tools Marisol uses for Targeted Muscle Release, using a technique called IASTM.

Instead of simply pushing harder and harder into a stubborn area, these smooth-edged tools give her another way to work specifically with areas of soft-tissue tension and restriction.

Because this is something I learned during 20+ years of massage therapy:

More pressure doesn’t automatically mean better results.

Sometimes you need a different approach—not more force.

And that’s one reason Marisol has several tools in her toolbox: traditional massage, cupping, Targeted Muscle Release and different techniques depending on what she’s finding.

But I already KNOW what some of you are wondering after looking at these things…

“Lisa. Does that HURT?!” 😳😂

We’re talking about THAT tomorrow.

But now I’m curious: Are you the person who always tells your massage therapist “you can go deeper,” or are you yelling “THAT’S ENOUGH” halfway through? 😂

🌿 MASSAGE THERAPIST WANTED — EDMOND/OKC 🌿

Okay, massage therapists… we’re looking for one more good human to make Live Well 360 Wellness Center their practice home.

Not an employee. Not a commission position.

We’re looking for an independent Licensed Massage Therapist who wants an established, furnished place to practice, has some clientele of their own, and wants room to continue growing without taking on the overhead of opening an entire location alone.

💆 What we’re looking for

We specifically need an experienced therapist who can provide a similar range of services to the massage clients we already serve, including:

• Swedish/relaxation massage
• Therapeutic/deep tissue massage
• Prenatal massage
• Manual lymphatic drainage
• Cupping
• Scraping/IASTM
• Targeted muscle work/release

You don’t necessarily have to offer every specialty on day one, but you should be an experienced therapeutic therapist comfortable working with clients who need more than relaxation massage.

Therapeutic/deep tissue, Swedish and lymphatic drainage experience are especially important.

🌿 The opportunity

Booth rent: $200/week

You’ll have access to a fully furnished massage treatment space inside an established wellness center, with flexible daytime, afternoon, evening and weekend availability.

You set your own availability, operate independently and keep 100% of your own service revenue.

Ideally, you already have some clientele of your own and are looking for a professional home where you can continue building your practice. Live Well 360 also actively markets our providers and encourages organic referrals and cross-referrals within the center.

We’re a little boho, a little crunchy, progressive and inclusive, science-friendly, occasionally inappropriate 😂, and very serious about helping people feel and function better.

We believe wellness is for every body, and we’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about the people on their table.

If you’re professional, dependable, collaborative, properly licensed and insured, and you’re reading this thinking…

“Oh. These might be my people.”

I want to hear from you. 🩵🌿
