These flowers were given to me back in September, and they were as bright and vivid as the gesture itself. They’re the first thing I see when I come into work, and I just love them. Slowly, they started to hang over a little and were losing petals here and there. I just couldn’t let them go. I poured the water out, and they have been keeping me company ever since. I think they feel nice and safe here — a spot where they’re free to wilt and dry out perfectly to their own liking.

The second half of the year was all about pop-up scalp spas, holiday house tours, family love, caring more for neighbors, consuming less, and resting when we could—and realizing so many don’t have that luxury.
Here’s to hoping 2026 brings more kindness and help, without needing justification, to those who need it most.
