I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as perfection. To me, perfection is the ultimate top level that one can achieve. However, there's nothing to learn once you've reached "perfection" and that's sad. The amazing mentors I've had throughout not only my henna journey, but in life, make me crave more. More knowledge, more connection, more enlightenment, just more. I look at this picture of the first time I did henna, and I knew then that I wanted so much more from this amazing art form, and that desire has given me priceless friends who I'm so proud to know. My love of henna and it's ability to allow me to express myself and share a little piece of me with another soul is so precious.

Henna has been calling and today I finally answered ☺️ I missed this smell.

I got to meet an incredible Boss Lady today 😊 Not only is she working 12 hour shifts and going to school but she's also got an amazing lash biz!! You need to check out her lashes and stop getting those strip lashes from target! is uhmazing!
And I can't wait to wear mine tomorrow 🥰

Henna fun!!! I got some fantastic advice from some wickedly amazing women about adjusting my henna paste recipe for the lack of humidity here in and I'm super happy with the suggestion of using molasses 🥰 so now my personal recipe has organic , lavender essential oil, lemon juice, sugar and molasses 💕 The End❤️

Two more cutting boards off the work bench this weekend. These are a nice size at 10 x 14. Perhaps I'll make a few more 😀

I found the cutest set of unfinished wood coasters, so, of course I burned them! 😁
Hand drawn and hand burned with a cork backing on them.
I've got another set and I'm thinking similar designs, but add subtle color.

A long wallet I finished this week, and I've got so much to learn. I enjoy the process, but I need to learn to slow down, because I make stupid mistakes (like the stitching line on the front 🙄)
Like I said, I've got a lot of brain work to do 🤣

Took the paste off and I'm super happy with the immediate stain💕🥰 I just wish my arms stained as well as my legs🙄

On a side note, I was fitted for mono vision contacts yesterday, (one eye has distance and the other is up close) and had them in while doing this. It was... challenging, trying to put henna on the leg. LOL I must have looked like a chicken because of how I had to turn my head from side to side to figure out where to look to get my eyes to focus🤣🐓🐔

I wanted to see how the henna I made in Fort Worth did in El Paso, and it was literally drying as soon as it was out of the henna cone😂
Time to change my recipe. Those artists in humidity-void areas, how much sugar do you use in your paste? I'm always curious how others make their henna.
