Rod choice, lash placement, and processing time all pull weight here, and if one of them is off, the lift can close the eye instead of opening it. That part matters most. I know, I know, everybody wants the big reveal, but this is why I slow down on monolids more than I do on a standard set.
I’m checking direction lash by lash, switching between a softer rod and a tighter curl when I need to, and watching timing close because healthy lashes always come first. Pretty, yes. But safe.
The goal isn’t just curl for the sake of curl. It’s that clean open-eye effect without frying the natural lashes.

This beauty came in with previous PMU that had faded red, so the goal was to correct the color, improve the shape, and bring her brows back to a more balanced-flattering look.
For her, combo brows were the best option because we could add hair-stroke detail in the front while using shading to help cover and balance the old pigment.

This client felt the same way, so I asked her to draw how she normally fills in her brows. That gives me insight into what feels natural to her before I refine the shape using facial structure and symmetry. We had to go completely opposite of how she normally draws them in 🤭
