Before I ever pick up a foil I do this.

I hold a cool cloth and a warm cloth near my client’s face to read their undertone. You can literally see the difference in these photos. The warm cloth brings her skin to life. That tells me everything.

She is warm. So cool and ashy tones are out. We are going honey, beige, and soft golden. Tones that work with her coloring, not against it.

And the result? Color that actually looks like it belongs on her!

Haircuts aren’t just about trends. They’re about proportion.

Different lines in a haircut can change how a face appears. Some add height, some add width.

For example, straight across bangs create a strong horizontal line. On a round face, that line can make the face appear wider instead of longer.

That doesn’t mean bangs are wrong. It just means the design should be intentional.
