As of now, I plan to reopen in January 🤞🏻 as long as I’m healed enough to make it down to the salon.

Radiation yesterday was a huge success!!!!! That's 8 of 20 done 🙌. Thank Jesus and thank all of you who prayed for me. I'm empowered to tackle the last 12 and bring this journey to a triumphant close, and hopefully soon. The next one is this afternoon, so please keep the prayers coming.

Here's an update: At some point on Sunday, I passed a kidney stone. Yes, I have no bladder, but my urostomy bag acts as one, so I can still pass them. I can pass much larger ones, I might add. It was bigger than a child's tooth but not quite big enough for an adult tooth. (The hospital staff was impressed.) Anyway, that came with lots of extra pain on top of my everyday pain and added a pretty horrible infection. So I was admitted to the hospital yesterday to receive IV antibiotics for the next couple of days.
My specific prayer requests are:

1. my health - cancer twice in a year (trying to think of a better word than sucks);

2. Michael Morris needs extra prayers - his job has been way more trying than normal, and then you throw my issues on top of it - I'm not sure how much more he can handle at this point - please pray things at work and my health will ease up so he can get some much-needed rest and peace

3. Kayla Morris - with me down and her dad working all the time, all of the household chores have fallen on her - she will be starting college in the next week too, so that's a lot on her - please pray for her mind, body, and spirit at this time - this is way more than she should have to carry.

I received a diagnosis explaining why I haven't been able to walk. It wasn't the diagnosis I wanted, but what can you do? My bladder cancer has already metastasized to my bones. The doctor said the pressure it's putting on my hip is equivalent to a fractured hip bone. I'm in pain all day, every day, unless I'm drugged up and asleep.

On Tuesday morning, I have an appointment with my oncologist to work on my next plan of action. Fighting cancer when I thought I was finished isn't ideal, but God has a bigger plan, and He's still good and always will be. Please join me in having faith and say a prayer or two for me now and then ☺️

As most of you are aware, I have been experiencing ongoing back and leg pain as a result of my chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments. Over the past month, my condition has progressively worsened, making it extremely challenging for me to walk without assistance. This morning, I attended a scheduled appointment with my oncologist for immunotherapy treatment. Due to the severity of my pain and low blood pressure reading of 80/44, the medical team expedited a referral to pain medicine and adjusted my medication regimen. 🤞🏻 In light of these developments, I will be taking a temporary leave of absence from work for the next couple of weeks. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for your understanding, care, and support during this challenging time. I will make every effort to resume our regular schedule as soon as possible.
