NEW DESIGN TIERS 🤍

I’ve decided to break my nail art into three different design tiers to make booking a little easier and to better explain the difference between the levels of nail art.

TIER 1♥️
Simple nail art! Think simple lines, dots, hearts, stars, little accents, or other designs that don’t require a lot of time or detail.

TIER 2♥️
This is where we start getting a little more creative! Tier 2 can include a mix of simple and more detailed designs. Some nails may be more intricate, but this tier is still not meant for a full set of super detailed artwork.

TIER 3♥️
This is for the BIG nail art sets! Think lots of detail, hand-painted artwork, aura nails, layered designs, detailed characters, intricate patterns, or several different elements throughout the set. Tier 3 designs require significantly more time, detail, and artistry, especially when we’re doing detailed hand-painted work or multiple techniques throughout the set.

I’ve had quite a few clients come in wanting nail art but not having a design option booked. I completely understand that sometimes you decide on your design once you’re here, but this is something I’m going to be much stricter about moving forward. It’s always better to book the design and then decide against it to allow that time just in case.

When a design isn’t booked, I haven’t scheduled the additional time needed to complete it. Trying to squeeze designs into appointments has caused me to overwork myself and feel rushed, and that’s not the experience I want for myself or for you as a client.

Going forward, if a design isn’t booked, I will not be able to add it to your appointment. This allows me to stay on schedule, take my time, and give every set the attention to detail it deserves.

NEW SERVICE: HARD GEL MANICURE

I’m excited to now offer Hard Gel Manicures at Sunshine Nails!

For this service, I’ll be using American Creator Framework Gel, a hard gel designed to add strength and durability to the natural nail.

Hard gel is different from a traditional gel manicure because it creates a stronger overlay over the natural nail. It can be a great option for clients who are hard on their nails, experience frequent breaking or splitting, or want a more durable manicure without adding length.

American Creator Framework Gel has become a favorite for my clients looking for strength and longevity. Many people who use hard gel enjoy having nails that feel stronger, hold up better to everyday activities, and allow them to go longer between appointments.

Of course, everyone’s nails, lifestyle, and wear time are different, but if you’re looking for a manicure that offers additional strength and durability, hard gel may be a great option for you!

☀️ FOUR YEARS OF SUNSHINE NAILS ☀️

Four years.

I’ve been sitting with that number, and honestly, it’s hard to believe. Four years of something that started as a hobby has turned into one of the greatest blessings of my life.

When I started Sunshine Nails, I knew I loved doing nails. I knew I loved being creative. I knew I wanted to build something of my own. But I had no idea how much the Lord would use this career to grow me, shape me, and teach me.

He has taught me that sometimes faith means taking the next step before you can see the whole path.

He has taught me patience when things didn’t happen on my timeline. Humility when I still had so much to learn. Courage when I was scared to take the next step. And trust when I had absolutely no idea what He was doing.

He has reminded me that success isn’t always measured by numbers, growth, or how full your books are. Sometimes success looks like the person sitting across from me who needed someone to listen. Sometimes it looks like making someone feel beautiful on a day they didn’t feel like themselves. Sometimes it looks like a conversation, a prayer, a laugh, or simply being a safe place for someone for a couple of hours.

And that is what makes me realize just how lucky I am.

Sunshine Nails has taken me from where I started in Bardstown to where I am now in Elizabethtown. There have been moments of excitement, moments of uncertainty, moments where I questioned myself, and moments where I could only look back and say, “There is no way I could have done this without God.”

And I don’t want to ever forget that.

I am so thankful for every client who has sat in my chair over these four years. For the ones who have been here since the beginning. For the ones who found me somewhere along the way. For the ones who have followed me through changes and new chapters. For every referral, every encouraging message, every booking, every conversation, every laugh, and every little bit of support.

You may think you’re just booking an appointment, but you have no idea how much your support has meant to me.

You have allowed me to build a career around something I love. You have given me a place to create. You have trusted me with your time, your stories, and sometimes even the hardest parts of your lives.

If I could go back and talk to the girl who started Sunshine Nails four years ago, I would tell her: keep pushing. Keep trusting God. Keep learning. Keep creating. Keep showing up. You have no idea where this little dream is going to take you.

I am grateful.

Grateful that the Lord trusted me with this.
Grateful for the people He has brought into my life through it.
Grateful for the lessons He has taught me through it.
And grateful that I get to wake up and say, “I love what I do.”
