I love this tip for harvesting herbs- my winter savory is going wild and its the perfect time to restart adding to my breads, dips, and sauces. If you have started a little herb patch, nows a great time. They are the best and easiest plants to grow, no matter your experience. Happy gardens!

This is one of my favorite tips! I read it in a 1960’s farmer’s almanac- static electricity (thunder) rains atmospheric nitrogen into the soil. OR semi-loosely tie pantyhose in a band around 2 metal T-posts and as the wind moves the nylon against the metal, static electrical pulses zap nitrogen down the T-post into the soil. Try it. You’ll see greener pastures!
