I don’t think I’ve ever received a gift as beautiful as this. My client and her sister took up the hobby 8 years ago of mosaics and I’m always asking to see what their latest project is. The things that they’ve made and the creativity they have blow my mind.

Today, she beat me to my studio (I was getting my dishwasher started) and she had a gift on her lap for me. As I was unwrapping it and realized it was one of her mosaics, my heart was overcome with joy and adoration that I get one of her pieces. Gifts like this, personal and from the heart, mean the world to me. She made this for Tessa and now her pretty iridescent swan gets to hang above her crib 🦢

The studio they work out of is through Glass Act Mosaics and they have their finished pieces for sale at 3 Hermanas Restaurant in Sacramento. Go get yourself a margarita, some chips and guac, and maybe leave with a beautiful piece of artwork to add to your collection!

Here she is! My best friend and all that hair! It’s been getting thicker every year since we were 5, I swear. I remember her in kindergarten, hair down to her butt. She would sit on it and then turn around and yell at whoever was behind her to stop pulling her hair 😂 I knew she was my best friend when I saw her firecracker sassy personality, and also that we bonded over being the shortest girls…both same height and still short girls for life!

We gave her hair a beautiful transformation with some lowlights to give it back dimension and changed the tone with a good ash toner, followed by a haircut!

Today was spent pampering my best friend and her mom, and ladies… I am exhausted! My bestie has been blessed with hair thicker than a unicorn tail 🦄 ✨ and bless her heart that she hates when I over-work myself on her, but she is worth every minute! Plus it was even better getting to spend time with her!

So now that my arms have had the workout of their life, this mama is turning in early and having a movie night with the kids on this lovely Friday! What do you have going on this weekend?
