Hey, Elk Grove & Sacramento! Let’s introduce ourselves! 👋🏼✨

We’re Vanessa & Gina, owners of Waxbare Salon in Elk Grove and soon-to-be Sacramento (formerly Sleek Wax Bar in Midtown)! Both of our salons just hit 10 years in business, and we couldn’t be more excited to share our story with you.

We met 14 years ago in 2011, while working at European Wax Center in Elk Grove. In 2014, without even knowing it, we both left the franchise world to start our own salons—Vanessa opened Waxbare Elk Grove, and Gina launched Sleek Wax Bar Midtown.

Over the years, we stayed connected, with Gina even being one of the first to purchase wax from the Waxbare brand! In 2023, we realized we had the same vision for business and decided to join forces.

With decades of experience, we’re here to bring you the best waxing services and customer experience in Elk Grove & Sacramento. Fun fact: Gina is an Elk Grove native, a Franklin High grad, and grew up in the beauty industry—her mom owned a salon in town for years!
