There has been a time where I only made about $24-26k annually. That’s below poverty line in MN.
I had to bridge the gap, in our wages with side jobs and food banks. I worked at a big salon too.

When I started my business, I wanted to price myself based on numbers not feelings. But the number that was shown after calculating, I thought was too high.
I priced on feelings anyways.

After a few years of living day to day, paycheck to paycheck, I was tired.
I wanted vacations. I wanted more for my kids.
I buckled in and scraped money together to invest in a business coach.
Then I was serious about my business.
When I started treating it as such, that’s when I noticed my mindset and my clients shift.
To start there as 3 mindset shifts I did.
That was only the beginning.

Try to take it in small bits than all at once.

5 things you need to have for a sustainable business.
If not, you’ll be burnt out & want to quit. These are my opinions, what’s worked for me
1) Boundaries: being available 24/7 isn’t healthy
2) booking system: that you don’t have to bother with.
3) work hours. And stick to them.
4) know your numbers. Revenue and profit, are you making a profit? Or just floating the business. This is necessary for pricing.
5) office hours, time not taking clients. Working on your business in a set time frame.

There’s always more than 5 things, but I think these are pretty important and go hand in hand with each other
