✨ BRIDAL MAKEUP ROAD TRIP! ✨
Today’s beauty adventure took me about an hour and a half from home to beautiful Weyauwega, WI—and what a gorgeous location to spend the morning! 😍
There’s something I love about packing up my makeup kit, hitting the road, and getting to be a small part of such a special day. And when you arrive to a stunning setting AND a group of fun, sweet ladies? Even better. 💕
Lots of laughs, lots of makeup, and some absolutely beautiful transformations! 💄✨
One of my favorite things about bridal makeup is enhancing each woman’s natural beauty while still making sure she feels like herself when she looks in the mirror.
Congratulations to the beautiful bride! 🥂🤍 Thank you for trusting me to be part of your wedding morning and for making me feel so welcome.
Now check out these before & afters… because these ladies were GORGEOUS! 😍💄

🍂 HELLO, OCTOBER! 🍂
Cooler weather + the first day of October + a rare day off = apparently I’m making homemade chili. 😂🌶️
There’s just something about that first real fall chill that makes a bubbling pot of chili feel mandatory. And since chili opinions can get surprisingly serious… I need to know where everyone stands. 😏
🌶️ CHILI ROLL CALL! Pick your team:
🔥 Heat level:
Mild & cozy 🤎 OR Spicy enough to make you sweat 🔥
🥣 Consistency:
Thick enough to stand a spoon in OR Soupy & perfect for crackers
🫘 Beans:
Load it up OR Keep those beans outta there
🧀 Toppings:
Cheese • Sour cream • Crackers • Cornbread • Fritos • Onions • ALL OF IT
And because we’re in Wisconsin, I feel like I also have to ask…
Do you put noodles in your chili, or are you judging the people who do? 😂
Drop your chili preferences below 👇 I want to see how divided we are!
Meanwhile, I’ll be over here enjoying my day off, my cozy house, and the smell of chili simmering on the stove. 🍁❤️
Happy October 1st! 🎃🍂
P.S. don't forget to blow cinnamon through your front door to welcome in prosperity for the new month ✨️

🍂✨ AUTUMN EQUINOX — A Sacred Pause ✨🍂
The Autumn Equinox is more than the changing of a season. Energetically, it is a threshold—a moment suspended between light and darkness, expansion and rest, holding on and letting go.
With day and night standing nearly equal, we are invited to find that same balance within ourselves. 🌙☀️
The vibrant, outward energy of summer begins to soften. Nature turns inward, and we are gently reminded that we are allowed to do the same.
Autumn carries the energy of release.
The trees don't question whether they should hold onto their leaves a little longer. They simply trust the cycle.
And perhaps there is a lesson for us there. 🍁
This can be a beautiful time to energetically clear what you've been carrying—old emotions, expectations, relationships, habits, thought patterns or responsibilities that no longer feel aligned.
During Reiki or meditation, you might visualize that heaviness leaving your energetic field with every exhale, making space for something softer.
✨ Ground your energy.
✨ Clear what feels stagnant.
✨ Reconnect with your root chakra and your sense of safety and stability.
✨ Offer gratitude for what this season of your life has taught you.
✨ Set intentions for what you want to nurture within yourself during the quieter months ahead.
The darker half of the year doesn't have to represent darkness in a negative sense.
Spiritually, darkness can be rest, introspection, intuition and restoration. It is the quiet space where roots grow beneath the surface long before we see anything bloom.
So as we cross into this new season, ask yourself:
🍂 What am I ready to release?
🌙 What part of me needs rest?
🔥 What inner light do I want to protect and nurture?
✨ What am I ready to make space for?
Take a few moments today to place your feet on the earth, breathe deeply, light a candle, journal, meditate, receive Reiki—or simply sit quietly and acknowledge the transition.
You don't always need to be blooming.
There are seasons for becoming, seasons for releasing, and seasons for simply being.
🍁 Happy Autumn Equinox from Phoenix Skin and Body Wellness.
May you enter this season feeling grounded, protected, balanced and open to whatever is meant to unfold next. 🤎✨
Sometimes a facial or body treatment is about so much more than skin. 🤍
A client recently reminded me just how powerful it can be to simply receive.
To be cared for.
To be touched without expectation.
Without needing to give anything back.
Without someone needing something from you.
As women, we spend so much of our lives caring for everyone else. Some are raising little ones and feel completely touched out. Others may realize that much of the physical touch they receive comes with an expectation attached to it.
And sometimes, when you finally find yourself in a quiet, warm room where nothing is being asked of you… it hits differently.
There is something incredibly healing about safe, nurturing, unconditional touch.
In my treatment room, you don't have to take care of anyone. You don't have to perform, respond, accomplish anything, or be anything for anyone else.
For that little bit of time, your only job is to receive. 🤍
And sometimes, that may be exactly what your nervous system — and your heart — needed.

While coming home from our Salem trip in 2024, we stopped in a random small town in PA for lunch. While we ate, I googled things to see near us. We were mere miles from Shanksville and the Flight 93 crash site and memorial. There was no way we were this close and I wasn't stopping. It was a rainy, cold, and miserable day but we trekked on. The Tower of Voices was haunting. Watching broadcasts playing while seeing the remnants of crushed plane parts and boarding passes and walking outside and looking over the spot the plane went down was heartbreaking. All the emotions of that day came rolling back like it happened yesterday. Now, 25 years later I still remember vividly where I was and what I was doing thst morning. I was pregnant with Hannah and getting ready for a prenatal appointment when the news came on of the first plane hitting the towers. At that time, they thought it was a small aircraft that went off course. I was waiting in the truck for Hannah's dad when the radio announced the second plane had hit. He got in the truck and I looked at him and said "this isn't a random accident" As we sat in the waiting room, the true horror of what was happening sank in. The atmosphere was absolutely somber in that room. Listening to my baby girl's heartbeat was normally so exciting and happy but that day I was filled with fear. Fear for what was coming next. Fear of what kind of world I was bringing this precious child into. Fear for my older kids and if they were safe at school and wanting to run and bring them home. Later that day I couldn't stop sobbing watching the footage. Still to this day I feel all those same emotions. Today my heart is with the survivors and all the babies born after 9/11 who never got the chance to meet their daddies. I wish we could get back to the unity as a country we had during those weeks and months after. I wish we could look at the anniversary of this date and remember what hatred does and change how we look at each other. At least then there would be something that came out of this horror.

Happy Labor Day! 🤍
Today is a reminder to slow down, take a breath, and celebrate the hard work that so often fills our days.
I’m especially grateful for all of you who work hard, care for others, support your families, chase your goals, and still somehow keep showing up day after day. Your time and energy are valuable — and you deserve moments of rest, too. 🌿
I’m also incredibly thankful for each and every person who supports my small business. Whether you’ve booked an appointment, purchased a product or gift certificate, shared a post, referred a friend, or simply cheered me on — thank you. Your support allows me to continue doing work that I truly love. 💙
However you’re spending today, I hope there’s a little time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the things and people that matter most.
Happy Labor Day from Phoenix Skin and Body Wellness! ✨

My son said to me last week "Look, mom I'm starting to get hair on my lip!" 👨
Me, too, kid. Me, too. 😭

A little “Hi, I’m still here!” check-in. 🤍
I know I’ve been a little quiet on social media lately. Summer has been busy, life has been full, and sometimes something has to take a backseat—and apparently social media volunteered. 😂
But behind the scenes, I’m still here doing what I love, taking care of my amazing clients, juggling all the things, and trying to soak up a little bit of summer along the way.
As we start heading into a new season, I’m looking forward to getting back on here more, sharing skincare tips, wellness, treatments, a little Reiki/energy goodness, and of course what’s happening at Phoenix Skin & Body Wellness. ✨
Thank you to everyone who continues to book, refer friends, share my business, and support me—even when I disappear from your feed for a minute. It truly means more than you know. 💙
Here’s to giving ourselves a little grace when life gets busy. Sometimes you’re thriving…and sometimes you’re just trying to remember what day it is. 😂
I’m still here, Phoenix is still here, and I’m excited for what’s coming this fall. 🍂✨
