It’s your hair’s ability to absorb and retain moisture. There are three types:

Hair resists moisture but, once hydrated, holds it beautifully.
Care Tip: Use lightweight, water-based products and incorporate heat (like steam) to help open the cuticle.

💧💧 Medium (Normal) Porosity
The sweet spot—moisture enters and stays balanced.
Care Tip: Maintain with consistent hydration and protein balance to keep hair strong and shiny.

💧💧💧 High Porosity
Hair absorbs moisture quickly but loses it just as fast. Often needs extra love due to damage or chemical services.
Care Tip: Layer moisture with creams + oils and focus on strengthening treatments to seal and protect.

On freshly cleansed, soaking wet hair:
