A special message from MaryAnne:

Today is an emotional day. For many reasons.

When I made the difficult decision to close yet another in door in Ellicott City, I didn't intend it to be on the 4th anniversary of a flood that would change my life or the lives of so many people I hold dear. I want to take a moment to thank all my clients across Maryland and PA for always supporting me.

I want to especially thank my clients in Howard County for allowing me the honor of being a part of your lives for two decades. I want to thank my friends at Victoria & Albert for a place to continue taking care of my beloved clients. While I will no longer be working in Clarksville, I am working full time in Havre de Grace and there will always be a chair for you here.

Of course, I know and completely understand that this is not a possibility for many of you and I am happy to recommend a stylist for you. Please feel free to reach out to me and I will gladly help you with transitioning to the right stylist!

I wasn't able to see all of you before I left and for that, I am sorry. Please know that I love you all and it has been the greatest honor of my life to be a part of yours for so many years. I know our paths will cross again. If not for a haircut, perhaps during a visit to the quaint riverside town I've also called home for many years. With boutique shops and restaurants, it's a sister city to our beloved Main Street community.

All my love and gratitude for an amazing twenty years in Howard County.

When one door closes, another opens. Yesterday we finished packing up eighteen years of business into a Uhaul, some of which will breath new life into our Havre de Grace location which remains open on Franklin Street.
Once again we found ourselves humbled by the support of our community from Bean Hollow to Miss Fit and residents alike who helped us on one of the hardest days of this journey.
And so, as our Ellicott City team takes its first step on a new path we are feeling grateful for opportunities, a future and all of you!

It is with great sadness and also joy that we write this post today. As of June 30th 2018, Salon Marielle will officially become a part of the Victoria and Albert Hair team. All of our wonderful and talented stylists will be available with their regularly scheduled days and times. We have worked closely with Christie and Scott, the owners of Victoria and Albert Hair, to ensure that this will be a seamless transition for all of you. They are truly wonderful and as one would expect, so is their team. We hope that you will continue to patronize them with all the loyalty you have shown us over the last eighteen years. The products and standard of service you have come to know and expect from Salon Marielle will continue here with Organic Way and the support of Simply Organic distributors.
We take great pride in knowing that despite our hardships over the last twenty two months with the devastating floods in Ellicott City that we have been able to find a beautiful and caring team to take care of our stylists and all of you.
It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of your lives for the last eighteen years. Maryanne and Rachel cannot thank you enough for allowing us the opportunity to open our doors and our hearts to serve you.
We look forward to seeing you at Victoria and Albert Hair for your next appointment.

We never thought we'd find ourselves in the position of asking for help twice in less than two years, but our team could certainly use your support during yet another devastating time of transition. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for you continued patronage, love and loyalty to our team. We wouldn't have been able to continue without all of you in 2016 and that's still true today.

We are excited and incredibly grateful to announce that Victoria and Albert Hair has opened their arms, hearts and doors to the Salon Marielle team. They are able to accommodate all of us without any schedule changes! This is a huge relief! We'll be up and running this time next week! All appointments from June 7th forward will be same time, same stylist! PLEASE CALL OUR TEMPORARY NUMBER 443-472-8057 with questions or scheduling new appointments. We made it in the salon today. Grateful despite everything as we fared so much better than last time. We're also suffering from something akin to survivor's guilt knowing we fared so much better than our friends and neighbors. They're our extended family and we love them. Keep them in your hearts.
