Yesterday I got to experience 1 of the HC DrugFree Medication and Sharps disposal events in person.
We don't have events like these in my little hometown, so I was VERY curious on how they work & what they do.
HC Drug Free is a great program and resource available in Howard County, Maryland.
"The Voice of Prevention”
Mission: HC DrugFree provides resources and education on prevention, treatment, recovery, and health and wellness to help Howard County residents develop knowledge and skills to understand and address behavioral health (substance use and mental health) disorders.
Vision: Our vision is for the people of Howard County to live healthy and productive lives without misusing legal medication, using illegal drugs, or misusing alcohol.

It's been a great Halloween season vacation so far!
Yesterday this Queen spent the day in beautiful Ellicott City, Maryland.

.and I'm just a hop, skip and a jump from the home of Edgar Allen Poe.

Farm City Days-Iola "Once Upon a Time ." Parade begins at 11am cst
I endured, I survived, I cried for 19 years.
👉Was it ALL bad & horrible?
No, that's part of the cycle... But if I didn't leave it was ONLY ending 1 way.
👉Did I EVER imagine I'd land on my feet in Allen County, Kansas when I left?
No, but here I am THRIVING.
✔️With my career & education.
✔️With the help of Hope Unlimited I found help when I needed it.
✔️With the help of stellar mental health team at Southeast Kansas Mental Health Center.
✔️With my friends & family across the country encouraging me to keep going.
✔️and with my sister queens as Plus USA Majestic.
..am I still scared? Do I still cry? Am I still being watched?
YES
However, I am blessed beyond measure.
