Est. 1984 - Maine Island Soap is made the old fashioned way on the coast on Maine with minimal all natural ingredients. We make our soaps entirely by hand in our little garage that we’ve converted into our soap making room. Several of our fundamental values include being good stewards of the land and living a natural lifestyle with as little impact to the environment as possible. Each bar is hand cut and carefully packaged in our recyclable boxes. If you love the natural purity of the coast of Maine, you'll also love the purity of Maine Island Soap!

400 bars of soap made yesterday… and today they’re getting cut!
Maple & Oats, Citrus Clove & Corn, Orono Black Bear, and Katahdin Pine are all on the cutting table this morning, and the whole shop smells absolutely heavenly. 🍁🌲
We thought it would be fun to bring you along for a little behind-the-scenes look at what actually happens after the soap is poured. From lining the molds and carefully removing the paper, to putting everything back together and cutting each loaf into individual bars… there are a lot of little steps before a bar of soap ever makes it onto our shelves.
