Need a last-minute haircut before the holiday weekend?

Lia has haircut availability this afternoon after 1:00 PM, with appointments available until just after 4:00 PM.

✨ The easiest way to claim an appointment is to book online. If you’re already out and about, you’re also welcome to stop by after 1:00 PM to see if Lia is available for a walk-in!

We’ll be closed Saturday, July 4 so our team can enjoy the holiday with family and friends, and we’ll reopen Sunday, when Gracie also has appointment availability.

✨ Healthy Hair Starts With Protein ✨

One of the most common questions we hear behind the chair is:

“What can I do to help my hair grow?”

While there are many reasons someone may experience hair thinning or slower hair growth, one of the first things I encourage guests to evaluate is their protein intake.

Hair is made primarily of protein. Your body needs adequate protein, energy, vitamins, and minerals to build healthy hair. When those nutrients are lacking, your body naturally prioritizes essential functions before growing hair.

This is something I see with many different guests—not just those taking GLP-1 medications. It can also happen with restrictive diets, vegetarian or plant-based eating patterns, illness, surgery, menopause, digestive concerns, or simply not eating enough throughout the day.

Here are a few easy ways to boost your protein intake:

🥣 Greek yogurt or a Greek yogurt smoothie

🍗 Lean meats, fish, eggs, tofu, tempeh, beans, lentils, or edamame

🥤 Clear whey protein drinks or protein water—especially refreshing during the summer

🍵 Warm bone broth for a savory evening snack

If you’re unsure how much protein your body needs, talk with your primary care provider or a registered dietitian. They can help you determine a daily protein goal that’s appropriate for your health, activity level, and personal goals.

As someone who tracks my own nutrition, I also recommend using an app like MyFitnessPal or Carbon (my personal favorite). Tracking your intake—even for a week or two—can be eye-opening and help you identify areas where you may need additional support.
