I knew one day I would be saying these very words to you. I just honestly never imagined that 16 years would end up feeling like 5! I remember waiting for you to arrive. I would imagine and wonder what you would look like? What color would your eyes be? Would you be smart? Would you be kind? What kind of human would you be? I have to say that of all the answers I imagined in my mind you superseded 100 fold! You are the smile that lights up a room. You make me laugh and frustrate the hell out of me. You are the love they told me I would never have and you are more than all the wishes I wished. 16 is a big one because I know with this number comes wings you have never had and if I am honest wings I have been afraid for you to spread. I know these wings will take you to amazing places. Fun and crazy places. Sad and scary places but most of all places that are farther away from me. So I stand here excited to watch you take these next steps towards getting your license and gaining more confidence in yourself. I am proud of the human you are becoming. I love who you were. I love who you are and I am in awe of who you will be.

Happy 10th birthday to this crazy, amazing, funny, strong willed, sweet angel baby!!! I am thankful every single day that you chose me to be your momma! I just know you are going to change the world one day!!

This girl is nothing short of AMAZING!!! Last Monday Marleigh Fournier had a bit of an accident. Doing some pre season practice with a friend she took a line drive right to her face. I go to pick her up and I won’t lie. I got a little weak in the knees when I saw her. Mouth covered with towels and blood all over her sweatshirt. Something no parent wants to walk in and see! She is crying but not hysterical. Relatively calm for what she has just gone through. “Mom I love you! I love you mom! I’m so sorry mom. My teeth are gone” My heart breaks just thinking back on it. Once I get her in the car she looses her ever loving mind and I can never hear that scream again but man can she ralley when she isn’t in her safe space. We get to the ER at Mercy and she buttons back up calms down answering all the questions she could. In and out of sleep, CT scans, i.v, stitches. I am so proud of how she has handled everything that was thrown her way. Small moments here and there of crying but wow is she awesome!! Her talley is a concussion, fractured jaw, three broken teeth, and ten stitches in her top lip. One week off from school and she is back at it this week half days. I couldn’t be more proud of this kid if I actually tried! Thank you to everyone who reached out and brought her goodie baskets, flowers and cards!! It means so much that you took time out to help cheer my kiddo up. And good news…I was able to save her favorite sweatshirt!

Today is gonna be a good day!

You can tell today was a busy Saturday! 12 hour days are exhausting!
