Love that for you. Truly. Someone will always be cheaper. I’m not competing on price, babe, I’m competing on not giving you a reason to call me crying later.

Here’s what “cheaper” usually skimps on: the device, the products, the training, and whether anyone actually looked at your skin before they started zapping it. Small details. Just your face.

I use medical-grade devices from manufacturers I actually trust, not something that showed up in a mystery box with instructions in four languages. For microchanneling I use ProCell. For skincare I use iS Clinical. I know what’s in them, I’ve seen what they do on real humans, and I’d put them on my own face. That’s my whole vetting process, and it’s stricter than most dating apps.

Now, IPL. Let’s be fair, because I’m not here to drag anybody’s machine. For sun damage and redness, IPL can be great. Love her. No notes.

Hair removal, though? That’s where she gets a little overconfident. IPL isn’t a laser. It’s a broad flash of light, not one targeted wavelength. It can reduce hair, but it’s generally less effective than a true laser, usually takes more sessions, and carries more risk on deeper skin tones. So if someone’s selling you IPL as “laser hair removal,” ask what machine they’re using. If they get weird about it, that’s your answer.

Cheap isn’t the problem. Cheap with no answers is.

This client works full time and comes from Colorado Springs to see me, so we did as much as possible to treat this 62-yr-old babe in a day!
Before photo— we had just completed her eyebrow Nanoblading and lip blush tattoo (using BROW DADDY® pigments for both), and went on to do a Procell Therapies microchanneling treatment on the face and neck, followed by some sun spot treatment with the Cynosure Lutronic Clarity II laser (yes we can stack these with proper prep and my familiarity with your skin).

Part of the success and massive improvement after just one day with me comes from her role, too. A great skin care routine at home (that I of course recommended, but it’s her job to actually do it) + a healthy life style including: little to no sugar, no processed foods, no alcohol, a healthy balanced diet with an emphasis on protein, lots of water, weight lifting, and collagen intake, like bone broth.

My point is: successful healing with both permanent makeup and skin/laser procedures comes with your part, too.
Your skin is your largest organ and it is always a reflection of what’s going on inside the body.
I’m confident I can get you results regardless, but results will vary depending on your lifestyle, age, health, and dare I say, hormones 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sun spot laser treatment in Denver: why I won’t laser every spot. 🛑

I check every spot before I treat sun damage or hyperpigmentation. Laser breaks up pigment. That’s why the ClariTone Laser Facial works so well on sun spots. It’s also why I won’t laser a spot nobody has checked. Laser can lighten the very signs a dermatologist needs to see.

I’ve turned clients away and sent them to a dermatologist first. Some got mad. A few came back to thank me after a melanoma diagnosis. I’ll take “mad at me” every time.

Happy Fall, Denver 🍂 Cue everyone screaming “PEEL SEASON” like it’s a national holiday.

Look, I love a good chemical exfoliant, and I offer peels that can be done almost any season. But that peel your fav TikTok esthi is doing? It might not be the treatment for YOU.

Here’s what I see all the time: clients come in with fine lines, wrinkles or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and they want to peel their skin off to reveal brighter, smoother, glowing skin. I get it. But we live in Colorado. It’s dry AF here, and more often than not your lipid barrier is already struggling before you walk through my door. Hit that with an aggressive peel or CO2 laser, and you may not get the results you want. It could actually make your skin worse.

That’s why I say “exfoliant” more than “peel.” Many of the ones I offer are designed to target your specific concern without destroying your lipid barrier. You might get some sloughing, or none at all. Even with stronger peels, how much you peel depends on the current state of your skin and how well it’s been prepped.

Peeling isn’t the goal. Results are.
