Andrea Moniqué Aesthetics
Pharmaceutical grade skincare, permanent makeup, & hair loss solutions
A year ago, I invested in two things: a bigger office and an expensive, safe, reliable laser. But then my heart wanted to make those treatments affordable for everyone.
So I had to choose: buy my first house or buy my first laser. I went with the laser.
I knew it would change my living situation—my single downtown life was going to come to a temporary end. But I also knew it would pay off. So I decided to take a detour: live with family, save back up for a down payment on a house later.
Our laser hair removal memberships are affordable. And our Lutronic Clarity II is the safest, fastest, most effective laser for treating ALL skin tones.
And in case you’re wondering why I’m not dating? I’m not going to get laid in my roommate’s (uncle’s) house. 😂 I sacrificed A LOT for you people.
Someone told me to stick to facials.
I built a medspa people fly across the country for. Then I built a course teaching other practitioners how to do the same thing — because I refuse to be the only one who got the memo that we’re allowed to take up this much space.
Eighteen years of clinical training. Laser certifications. Being the person other providers call when they don’t know what to do with a treatment. And somebody still looked at all of that and said “facials” like it was a ceiling. Plot twist, facials are my least favorite treatment to do, so I don’t do them— Noel does 😄 (🔌and she’s extremely amazing at them and our microchanneling, come see her)
Nobody’s going to hand you permission. I waited for it too, for longer than I want to admit. Eventually I just stopped.
If someone’s ever told you to shrink — drop a 🖤 below.
Oldie but goodie BTS rant 😅
I’ve lasered thousands of clients across every skin tone and I’ve also lasered myself repeatedly. Yes, including the pretty-pretty. Some research just doesn’t start in a textbook. It starts with being your own test subject until you trust the process enough to put someone else under the laser.
Here’s the actual lesson, free of charge: longer pulse durations (measured in milliseconds) are SAFER for darker skin, not riskier. Sounds backwards — 30ms feels slower and scarier than 5ms. But a longer pulse gives heat time to dissipate from the epidermis while it’s still doing its job on the follicle. That setting mistake is what burns people. “Any tech, any laser” is not advice you want on melanin-rich skin.

Slow months are not a sign that something is wrong with your business. They’re a sign that something needs attention. Here’s what I actually do when things get quiet. Save this one — you’ll need it.
Microchanneling has a reputation problem, and it’s not the treatment’s fault — it’s that half the people talking s**t about it have never actually used it.
I get it. I spent 8 years on the SkinPen doing traditional microneedling and when microchanneling showed up, I was skeptical too. Thought it was a marketing spin on something I already did. I was wrong.
Here’s the real difference, no fluff: SkinPen and traditional microneedling glide across the skin — a dragging motion, needles moving as the device travels over your face. Procell microchanneling does the opposite. It stamps straight down, vertically, one spot at a time, at a fixed depth. Procell’s own FAQ page describes it exactly that way: a linear stamping method built to avoid the tearing and dragging that comes with traditional needling.
Why does that matter? Dragging = more friction, more surface trauma, less consistency. Stamping = clean, even channels every time, less irritation, and — paired with Procell’s growth factor serum — a much more reliable collagen response. That’s not brand loyalty talking, that’s mechanics.
This client is 3 treatments in. Look at the jawline. Look at the lines around the eyes and mouth. This is what consistent, controlled channels + real growth factors do over time — no filter, no gimmick.
And yes — it’s safe for all skin tones. Both devices claim that, but only one of them isn’t dragging across your face while it does it.
How long do results last? Depends on your age and goals:
🌱 20s-30s: start now, you’re playing the long game
🌱 40s-50s: start now, maintain every 1-2 years, home care isn’t optional
🌱 60s+: yearly maintenance, often paired with Botox or filler — and sometimes a facelift is genuinely the better answer for your face AND your wallet
Estheticians and injectors — thinking about adding this to your menu? DM me. I train practitioners on Procell and I’ll walk you through it straight.

A client texted me yesterday. Unsolicited. No follow up from me.
"I have a full head of hair! My hair has grown so much and is so full! Yay, I'm so happy!!! 😊 I'd like to come in for a maintenance sesh?"
I ugly cried a little. Moving on.
She came to me with telogen effluvium — your body's dramatic response to hormonal stress. Perimenopause hit, estrogen dropped, cortisol spiked, and her follicles shut down mid-set-- right when the drinks are hitting, you're having a good time, and bam: the DJ ruins it with a slow song and the owner turns the lights on (or off in this analogy). Not destroyed. Just closed.
Closed is not the same as gone.
Scalp microchanneling + Procell Therapies Hair Regrowth Serum works to wake those follicles back up — stimulating circulation, delivering growth factors directly to the follicle, and blocking DHT from continuing to do damage. But it takes consistency. Minimum 6 treatments. Every 2–4 weeks. And addressing the hormonal root cause alongside treatment — because we support your biology, we don't override it.
She did the work. Now she's booking maintenance.
This is why I stopped offering single treatments and 3-packs. Three sessions was never going to be enough — and I wasn't willing to take her money knowing that.
Applications for the AM Proof Series close tonight. Link in bio.

Happy Birthday to our girl Noel 🖤✨
From day one, you’ve come in with heart, hustle, and the kind of energy you can’t teach. Watching you grow into your craft, build confidence with clients, and start getting LOVE like this… yeah, I’m proud as hell.
These reviews? Not luck.
That’s consistency, care, and you actually giving a damn about people when they’re in your chair.
And let’s be real — not every new esthetician comes in ready to work, learn, and show up the way you have. You’ve earned this.
We’re just getting started… and if this is year one energy?? Whew. They’re not ready for you.
Go wish her a happy birthday and show her some love 🥂💌

What a whirlwind this past week! Thank you to everyone who came to sit at my table for the annual fundraising event.
This has been my fifth year as a table captain and AM Aesthetics hosting facial days for the participants actively working with the bean.
Right now in the chaos of our world, it can feel overwhelming and like we’re not doing enough, or what can be done? But coming together in a room surrounded by like-minded people choosing to put out a hand and help the women up of our community is a reminder that we are on the right track; we will prevail, FDT!
This organization means a lot to me, so thank you again to those who are new and those that have shown up year after year. 💚🙏🏽
PS sorry we didn’t get pics of everyone, but special shout out to:

Donations are always accepted, so if you didn’t get a chance to attend, please head over to www.womensbeanproject.com, donate, buy some beans for your crockpot, maybe a snack or two. They have amazing desserts and GF options, too! Also check out their retail store west on Alameda from I-25.

Laser hair removal, but make it honest. ⚡️
Here’s what most ads don’t say: your skin tone, hair color, sun habits, and even self-tanner all matter when we build your laser plan. There is no one-size-fits-all setting — and if someone’s treating you like there is, that’s the red flag.
At AM Aesthetics we:
• Customize energy settings for your unique melanin + hair contrast
• Adjust protocols for deeper + tanned skin instead of saying “you’re not a candidate”
• Strategize around sun exposure, travel, and seasons (yes, summer laser is possible)
• Prioritize safety, not just “max power and pray”
If you’ve ever been told:
• “Laser isn’t safe for your skin tone,” or
• “Just do a package, everyone needs 6,”
…it’s time for a second opinion.
Book a laser consult (link in bio) and let’s talk about:
• Your skin tone + hair type
• Your sun lifestyle (real talk, not judgment)
• What’s actually realistic for results + budget
Inclusive laser. Honest expectations. Real strategy for your skin in Denver.
Join me for lunch April 22 at the Seawell Ballroom at 12pm for the annual Ready Set Grow event for the Women’s Bean Project. It’s just about an hour and the purpose is to raise funds to continue employing chronically unemployed women, breaking cycles, and creating positive trajectories and real change in their lives. Meet some of the participants, hear their stories, and why WBP matters and is a staple in our Denver community 💙
Ya in? DM me your email address and any dietary restrictions.
If you can’t make it, but still want to donate, please send me your email so I can share the virtual link with you and gather your contribution under my table.
