The Ohio EPA recently approved a small increase to the Montgomery County Solid Waste District’s Generation Fee, which affects communities across the county.
Because this is a required pass-through fee in our contract with Rumpke, residents will see a $0.06 increase on their quarterly trash bill beginning January 1, 2026.
This adjustment will bring the new quarterly residential rate to $44.22.
We want to ensure residents are aware of the change ahead of time and understand that this increase is tied directly to the county-mandated fee, not to any change in service from the City or Rumpke.
