Overdue post, I know! 😅 Something really cool happened this past Thursday night; I won Enid's Best Tattoo Artist for 2026! What an incredible honor, and I want to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart. I wasn't fully prepared to say anything, so my speech was a little all over the place, and nerves definitely were grabbing at me. Social media is weird, and I couldn't post the video with photos (I'll post video in comments too), so you can attempt to hear the sped up version or you can just read it 🙌 with the added things I meant to say too:

"Firstly, Glory to God that I get to wake up and do what I love everyday for a living. Secondly, this is really cool to win... A lot of know me, some of you don't, but my dad was a local tattoo artist here, so this is definitely a really cool full circle moment to be able to accept this. Thirdly, I want to say thank you to my mentor Amber who isn't here tonight, but she DID win this award last year, and I wouldn't be where I am today without her mentorship and friendship, and all the other awesome ladies and artists at the shop. We have a ton of talented artists here in town, so thank you all for voting me the best this year. Please make sure to go check out all of their work too, we all have different things we love to do and specialize in, and we all have our own personalities. So many talented artists. Also, my earrings, as aways are from the amazing Barbie Roye Swinea with Wind Woman Creations- if you too want an amazing, hand crafted, one of a kind, woman-owned, native beadwork piece! Also, I am sorry not only for the delayed post, but any delayed responses as well. Y'all I promise I do my best. When I am not busy creating with my hands, I promise I am not free to just sit and do nothing. The morning after winning this award, I got up at 4:30am to take my grandparents to all day doctors appointments in the city WHILE momming it up. Then ended the night taking them to a birthday party. Spent the next day out of town swimming because I felt guilty for how much time they've had to sacrifice without me while I juggle my career and other responsibilities that need my attention.
