Baylor has been diagnosed with a rare spinal condition, and our future is uncertain right now. He may require surgery, but we do not know when. It could be soon, or it could be a few years from now. We also do not know if he will need one surgery or many. We are praying he continues to develop normally by the healing hands of God, and we pray that he will never need surgery.

I have already had to miss a lot of work for doctor’s appointments. If you know, you know… when getting an appointment with a specialist, you have to take what they have available; otherwise you may wait months and not be seen for urgent concerns. Baylor’s condition, being the spine, will be an ongoing concern. I might have to reschedule appointments, and when or if surgery comes, I may have to miss work for an extended period of time.

I have to monitor his development and keep a close eye on him. Because of this, he will not be going to daycare. Baylor will continue to be our little salon assistant. That being said, I understand if this is not what you want to experience during your salon appointments. I always emphasize the importance of self‑care and enjoying a relaxing salon visit. I have no hard feelings, and I am glad to give you my top recommendations for other professionals in the area.

Lastly, I will still be working. I still have bills to pay. However, my schedule may vary and change as time goes on. I will be in the salon as usual, and I will share my days off with as much advance notice as possible. The only thing I am certain of right now is that I will be going to a lot of doctor’s appointments. All updates, schedule changes, and communication will be mainly on social media, so make sure you’re following.

I just want to take a moment to thank all of my wonderful clients for being so patient with me this week. ❤️❤️Ya’ll know I hate to miss work and never am down for long, but this time, I was down BAD. 🤒Saturday night the fever, chills, and body aches hit me like a freight train, and I’ve barely been able to get out of bed since. I’m looking forward to getting back in the salon and back to normal. Stay safe out there, this flu bug going around is miserable!!

✨ Not all hair ties are created equal — and some are surprisingly damaging. Traditional elastics place tension on one area of the hair, which can lead to breakage, snagging, frizz, weakened strands, and dent marks that ruin your curl pattern or smooth style.

Thin clear rubber elastics
