This is my head so I’m not throwing anyone but myself under a bus, lol.

Let’s talk about color theory and trust, because if there is at all a time or an example on why you should trust your hair stylist it’s this one.

This is the process of removing fashion color, while also protecting the integrity of your hair which should ALWAYS be your stylists top priority.

It’s important when you’re working with fashion colors or any color honestly, that you truly understand the underlying pigment of the color.

Everyone knows blue and red makes purple, and the red pigment in the purple fades out faster and leaves the blue pigment behind. Cue the green as we start the removal process.🤢

Here is where it’s so important to trust your stylist!
I added my natural purple fade at the end of these pictures where it looks like there is no pigment left whatsoever but looks can be deceiving!
This is why it is so important to be honest and up front with your stylist with what is on your hair!

In turn, in order to cancel out the green in the hair you have to go to the opposite side of the color wheel and use opposing colors to tone out any of the green in the hair.

My hair is by no means perfect, but it’s a start and sometimes it just takes more than one session to get it where you truly want to be.

So stick with your stylist, trust her and communicate effectively and it will all be worth it in the end!💖
