Using tallow products after sun exposure is a great way to relieve any discomfort from sunburn, but remember that even residue left on your skin from moisturizing the night before has the potential to increase your burn rate.

Someone messaged me today asking where I buy my tallow. The answer is, I don’t. The process is lengthy, but so worth it.

I source local beef suet (shoutout to LorrenJoyce Farm in Barnstead, NH) and render it down at least 4 times to get the product that I use for skin care.

While that’s rendering, I infuse organic jojoba oil with organic botanicals. Right now I’m hooked on lavender, calendula, comfrey, & life everlasting flower. Together, they pack a punch and deliver amazing results that you can feel immediately.

Each jar is hand piped, & each label is hand cut. From start to finish, I put my all into every jar I make. If I used tallow that I bought online, that would defeat the purpose of my business.
