We recently sat down with The Business Journal to explore collaboration opportunities and talk about what we're building at Benes Companies. We discussed our fight to win the war on complex illness in a healthcare system not built to treat it. How the U.S. is 4x worse than its near-peer countries, and how a more collaborative, integrated, and synchronous care system is necessary to address these complex illness trends. Learn more on what we're building below!
Update: We Recently Sat Down With The Business Journal. Here’s What We Shared. A busy newsroom with anchors, staff, and a panoramic view of Denver’s downtown We recently had the chance to sit down with The Business Journals, which operates local news networks, including…

Too many people in chronic pain are met with the same answers everywhere: medicate, inject, or operate, often before anyone has looked closely at what's actually driving the problem.
Dr. Fawad Mian, a board-certified neurologist and regenerative medicine specialist, experienced that same cycle firsthand and discovered that the steroids meant to relieve his pain were quietly damaging the joints and tissue underneath.
For health and wellness professionals, his story is a call to build practices that preserve and heal, not just ones that treat the symptom in front of them.
A Neurologist’s 15-Year Fight to Heal His Body | The Case for Regenerative Medicine & Healing Pain I’ve had a lot of doctors on this podcast. Dr. Fawad Mian is the first one who spent most of our conversation talking about being a patient. He’s board-certified in neurology and regene…

"We built this company because we've been through it."
Our founders, Tenay and Brett Benes, have spent over a decade navigating complex illness — ADHD, C-PTSD, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and ASD — alongside their child, who is also healing from ADHD. They know firsthand what it means to face a care system that wasn't built for you, in a workplace that wasn't built for you, without a community that truly understands what you're carrying.
That experience became the foundation of Care Curation Coaching — private coaching, group coaching, and real peer community for people navigating complex illness and the families who love them.
Our first group cohort is open now, focused on neurodivergence, with five founding seats at 25% off. More cohorts are coming: trauma, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and undiagnosed disorders. (No official diagnosis necessary.)
If you know someone who has been navigating this alone, please share this with them. The flier has the full details. Please also consider sharing this on your socials, printing and posting it, or sending it to anyone who might be interested!
If you or they simply want to learn more first, the signup link below includes a free excerpt from Tenay's book Heal or Die and access to our Care Coaching newsletter. (https://lnkd.in/g9anvbmT)

Good providers leave healthcare not because they stopped caring, but because the system doesn't let them!
Siva Penna is a hospitalist who believes compassion isn't something you're just born with — it's something you can teach, train, and build into your culture.
This is the conversation your leadership team needs to have.
Doctors Are Healers Not Machines | Top Hospitalist on Compassionate Care, Provider Burnout & Culture There is a version of this conversation that healthcare organizations have been having for years. It usually goes something like this: providers are burned out, patients feel unseen, and the soluti…

When our frameworks have blind spots, our solutions are flawed. That's why we built a better whole-person health model that we call the Seven-Part Health framework. Our model includes the best of 50 years of academic research plus two additional domains that few care professionals address directly.
If you want to learn more, check out the second edition of "Heal or Die" by Tenay Benes.
A Better Whole-Person Health Model The article discusses the limitations of existing health frameworks in addressing whole-person care, highlighting overlooked domains like financial resources and life purpose. Brett Benes introduce…

Every family deserves a provider who refuses to stop looking for answers!
Zach Dancel watched his mom go from specialist to specialist, bedridden and without answers, until one functional medicine provider looked at the full picture — and she got better. That experience inspired Nava Health.
This is what it looks like when compassion and operational excellence build a system together.
His Mom Was Dying & Top Doctors Gave Up | So They Built a Medical System That Actually Works There is a moment in every complex illness journey where the system runs out of answers. For Zach Dancel’s family, that moment came at Johns Hopkins. His mom was bedridden. She had seen speci…

I used to think quick decisions were a leadership strength — Vicki Landers reframes that completely.
Vicki is a C-suite coach who built her entire practice around one idea: the space between what hits you and how you respond is where your leadership actually lives.
If you run a healthcare organization and your retention numbers aren't where they need to be, this conversation is worth your full attention.
Healthcare doesn’t have a retention problem. It has a leadership problem. I’ve watched this up close through Benes Companies and through conversations with providers across every discipline. The people leaving aren’t leaving because they stopped caring. They&…
