Here is the BIGGGGG difference between a hair trim and a hair CUT! Watch till the end. Slikpressing does not ruin your hair if you have a special technique, good hair products, and skilled to the gods🤪

My silkpresses is Semi-permenant. The technique i have is consistent. I don't need a smoothing treatment of no kind.

As you see in the pictures. My client has not lost her natural curl pattern in the dry stage or wet stage. Her new growth is waving in the root area, while her longer hair is straight, SEMI-PERMENANT pressing. No heat damage or split ends. I stand by my work.

My Silk -presses is a semi straight hair style, that can last for weeks, months, and even years. If you can't manage your tight curls or no longer want to be a natural curly girl and don't want chemicals or chemically treated hair, then this is for you. Choose wisely!.

Dear to you.

I'm in my career for three reasons. God said, i said obey god and i love to help, share and service.

What I'm not going to do is people please nonsense. Meaning : things thats out of my scope of practice, self respect, my mental, spiritual and physical health. Being a cosmetologist is more than hair. Customers trust you, vent to you, majority of the time, will sit in your shop just to get away or even for a peace of mind. When you create this type of atmosphere for customers, you doing something in your business correct! People will pay for beauty and peace. That's why I say it's alittle more than cosmetology. Barber shops are also non exempt, it happens there too!

We should have MD. by our name.
People don't really honor us. They will go from chair to chair, Nail tech to nail tech. For a cheaper price, time and convenience. And deal with outcomes of dissatisfied services secretly. Meaning: it's better than nothing or at least it's done, girrl i know it aint cut right but it was only thirty dollars and she will do your hair in your car, type. Not realizing that possiblely on one end how your stylist kept your hair in its healthy state will now be comprised with a new stylist/ nail tech care products and skill levels of experience, all because the pricing, time and convenience doesn't match yours.. Now I get it, if your hair is showing severe dryness, lacking moisture, breaking off, snapping, won't hold styles or curls and you have been with your stylist for months to years. Then it's possible that it can be what a stylist uses/Hair care products and skill level.

Here's a solution: to not run, but go over with your stylist on potential ways and solutions to make better. If not maybe it's time to find a new stylist, and you do alittle research on the new stylist of your choice. Im only advising, dont just jump in the first chair open.. Just, as you do when you don't like a doctor, lawyer, cook, restaurant, store, etc. It can be a not good fit, look eleswhere.

Also we as cosmetologist can have not so honest customers. Here's solutions : Be honest with your stylist, don't stray away from chemical patch tests, this takes time, patch test is 24 to 48 hours to ensure the customer can have hair color, this is crucial, have patience.

Customers can be so impatient along with some stylist, they skip this part so they wont lose the customer or money. Our body age differently, have the time, have the patience enough, have the money, be mentally and physically ready, it's so many factors here.

Cosmetologist works hard to beautifying your hair, skin and nail care, REMEMBER BEAUTIFY not literally M.D's. Social media can kill a society.

Wannabe the next top stylist on or off social internet gives potential customers false sales tactics that we as cosmetologist can treat and heal, NO! Thats passed our scope, its illegal to do and your degradeing true cosmetologist who loves the industry. Customers, who is not honest about their well being physically, emotionally, spiritual, and mentally can break the outcome of ones ideal look, not saying they have to show their MY CHART at U.H. but meaning: are you allergic to hair color/nautral dyes, hair glue/ latex, hair sprays, scalp tenderness, alopecia, malassezia ( candida), life stress, medical medicine from the earth or not, relationships, hair chemicals, such in as relaxers, tape-ins and strict religious hair styles, etc. Yes this is real! With that being said, the first thing a customer thinks, that it's the stylist fault. Customers get diagnosed with certain medical conditions, told to take as recommended, but don't ask the side effects! Wtf. Read! High blood( amlodipine, metoprolol and hydrochlorothiazide). I don't even know how to pronounce these, but I know the side effects it has on the body and hair. So don't come for me, lol.
Pressure pills in some people causes hair loss, one out of many others, So stop playing.

Instead of looking inward, customers point the finger out!. It's your fault my boyfriend / husband/pastor doesn't like my hair, it's your fault, you should have known what color not to use in my hair, it's your fault my nails are breaking, my hair is breaking, it's you it's you it's you. When truly it's all because they wasn't honest. Some customers have timely matters to meet instantly, a quick gratification, and don't think about giving opportunity for positive changes. This reminds me of relationship of all sorts. Meaning: if something dont give you instant satisfaction, it's not worth making right or no effort, its over!. Verses trying to make work because it can turn out to be positive with effort and open opportunities. And even if all fails, which does happen, no reconciliation, just move on. It's not Worth fighting over, shooting in someone's shop, cursing and disrespecting the business, public and yourself. This happens I've seen it!.

I had to in my career de-caped a few customers, since year 2000. Meaning: I stopped in mid hair appointment of curling and styling a customers hair, took the styling cape off because of rudness /disrespect to me and other customers in my salon, not honest and disagreeing with my time and pricing, I let them go!
With no pay to me. Or they never came back because i have salon etiquette! I mention this already in the beginning of this post. Old school saying? All money ain't good money!. Bottom line customers have the right to choose where they want service. How that service turns out Welll! it will show if you dodged a problem in due time. It can be any where, at the neighborhood bar, corner store, wedding, funeral or your local grocery store.

Im not perfect, im staying consistent as long as God allows.

I appreciate my loyal customers, they know who they are, not fly- by-nighters or chair hoppers, my clients who will put on a baseball cap/ wig or braids before going elsewhere or even growing it out intil they can come see me, those! My nail and pedi client's who will put a bandaid on to hold down a broken nail before going eleswhere, I wouldn't change a thing i love our Saturday's ☺️

Those willing to pay my price with no hesitation because they get the results they want and need, my years clients! that turned into good friendships, those! I'm speaking to them. I love you and you are worth my time, cries, laugthers, smiles and energy!

Sincerely your stylist and nail technician,
Sharese!
