What can actually change after just ONE scalp treatment? 👀

I’ve been investing heavily in my scalp and hair-loss education, and one of the biggest things it continues to reinforce is this: healthy hair starts with the environment it’s growing from.

So I’m pretty excited to start incorporating more advanced scalp analysis and treatments into what I do behind the chair.

For this treatment, I used my new ozone micro-mist system along with FermaGlo scalp and hair products, then used my Becon scalp microscope to compare before and after.

Just to clarify, these scans are from multiple people, each scanned before and after their own individual scalp treatment. I love being able to see how different scalps respond and track those changes over time.

The changes were pretty incredible to see.

💧 Increased scalp hydration
🔎 Significantly less visible flaking
✨ A cleaner-looking scalp environment
📊 Changes in the scanner’s measured visible hair volume

And no, hair didn’t magically grow during one treatment. 😂 That’s not what these results mean. What I love is being able to see what’s happening on the scalp, address what I’m seeing, and then track it over time.

That’s where scalp care gets really interesting.

If you’re in the Eugene area and you’re dealing with dryness, oiliness, buildup, flaking, excessive shedding, thinning, or you’re simply curious about what your scalp looks like up close, message me SCALP.

Let’s take a look at what’s actually going on. 🔬

Have you noticed more hair in your brush or shower? Maybe your part looks a little wider, or your ponytail just doesn’t feel as full as it used to.

Those changes are worth paying attention to.

Hair loss isn’t one-size-fits-all. Increased shedding, breakage, miniaturization and scalp concerns can look similar at first, but they can have very different contributing factors.

Hormonal changes, stress, illness, nutrition, medications, genetics, aging and scalp health can all play a role.

That’s why I believe in looking beyond the hair you’re losing and paying attention to the clues.

What changed?
When did it start?
What does your scalp look like?
Is your density changing?
Is the hair shedding from the root or breaking?

The goal isn’t to guess. It’s to better understand what may be happening so you can determine the appropriate next step.

If you’ve been noticing changes in your hair or scalp, message me to book a Hair + Scalp Check. 🔬

The sooner you start paying attention to the changes, the more information we have to work with.

You probably don’t need more hair products. You need to understand what your hair actually needs.

One thing I’ve learned after years behind the chair is that a good haircare routine doesn’t need to be complicated. It needs to be intentional.

Your hair can have different needs depending on its texture, density, porosity, chemical history, current condition, and even how easily it becomes weighed down.

That’s one of the things I love about FermaGlo. It gives me options without needing an entire cabinet full of products.

If the hair needs more hydration, I can reach for Moisture Lock. If it needs lighter conditioning and softness without as much weight, Vitality may be the better choice.

Different needs. Different combinations. One simplified system.

As a stylist, I’d much rather help someone understand WHY they’re using something than simply tell them to buy another product.

Because the goal isn’t more products.

It’s choosing the right products for what your hair and scalp actually need.

Now that I’m a Certified Trichologist, I look at haircare very differently. 👀

It’s not just about how your hair looks and feels. I’m paying attention to the scalp, the follicle environment, buildup, ingredient quality, and how we’re supporting healthy hair from the foundation.

And the more I’ve learned about hair and scalp health, the more I appreciate what FermaGlo is doing with fermented ingredients.

Fermentation helps refine botanical ingredients into smaller, more bioavailable compounds, making them easier for the hair and scalp to utilize.

I loved FermaGlo before I became a trichologist. Now I understand even more of the science behind WHY I love it. 🌱

Your ingredient list might not be telling you the whole story. 👀

Two ingredients can have the exact same INCI name on the label and still come from completely different sources and manufacturing processes.

Petroleum-derived.
Plant-derived.
Fermentation-derived.

Same name on the bottle. Very different journey to get there.

This is one of the reasons I’ve become so much more interested in ingredient education. As a holistic hairstylist and hair loss practitioner, I don’t just want to know what is in a product. I want to know where it came from, how it was made, and why it was chosen.

And it’s one of the things that drew me to FermaGlo. The focus on fermented ingredients, biotechnology, sourcing and transparency goes much deeper than simply making an ingredient list look good.

So next time you flip over a bottle, remember:

Reading the label is a start. Asking what’s behind the label is where it gets interesting.

Smart haircare starts with better questions. 🌿

Hair shedding doesn't always begin when you notice it.

In many cases, the trigger happened 8 to 12 weeks earlier, which is why understanding your timeline is such an important part of the process.

Stress. Illness. Surgery. Hormone changes. Rapid weight loss. Nutrition. These are just a few of the many factors that can influence the hair growth cycle.

As a Certified Hair Loss Practitioner, I take a holistic approach by looking beyond the strands to consider both internal health and scalp health, because healthy hair starts with a healthy foundation.

Every hair loss journey is different. The goal isn't to guess or recommend the same solution for everyone. It's to understand the bigger picture and identify the potential factors contributing to the shedding.

💜 Have you ever looked back and realized your hair started changing after a stressful event, illness, surgery, or a hormone change? I'd love to hear your experience in the comments.

Healthy hair isn’t defined by how shiny it looks the moment you style it.

Real hair health starts at the foundation.

When I recommend products, I’m looking for formulas that:
• Support a healthy scalp
• Nourish without creating unnecessary buildup
• Leave hair soft and lightweight instead of coated
• Support the long-term health of the hair, not just temporary cosmetic results

As a holistic hairstylist and Certified Hair Loss Practitioner, I’ve learned that healthy-looking hair begins long before the ends. The condition of your scalp, the ingredients you use, and your daily habits all play a role in the quality of the hair you grow.

Beautiful hair isn’t created overnight. It’s built with consistency and the right foundation.

What has made the biggest difference in your hair journey: your routine, your products, your nutrition, or your scalp health? 🤍

I’m officially a **Certified Hair Loss Practitioner**, and I couldn’t be more excited about where this journey is taking me.

After more than 30 years behind the chair, I’ve learned that healthy hair starts long before the hair itself. It starts with understanding the scalp, the follicles, and most importantly... the WHY.

Hair loss isn’t one-size-fits-all. It can be influenced by genetics, hormones, stress, nutrition, medications, illness, and so much more. That’s why I’m so passionate about learning the science instead of just treating the symptoms.

I’m also beginning my full trichology program because I want to continue expanding my knowledge and provide the best education and support I can.

My goal isn’t just to help people grow healthier hair. It’s to help people understand WHY their hair is changing and guide them toward solutions based on their individual needs.

If you’ve been noticing more shedding, thinning, or changes in your scalp, I’d love to hear your story. While I’m building out my scalp assessment services and waiting for my new scalp imaging technology to arrive, my inbox is always open for questions.

This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to share what I’m learning along the way.

P.S. If there’s a hair loss or scalp health topic you’ve been curious about, leave it in the comments. It just might become my next educational post! 💕

Every head of hair has a story. 💗

One thing I wish more people would do is flip the bottle over and read the ingredient label.

The products you use every day matter. Look for formulas that are free from silicones, petroleum-based coatings, waxes, and fragrance, and instead choose products made with ingredients that support the health of your hair and scalp.

That’s one of the reasons I chose FermaGlo. I wanted hair care made with fermented botanical ingredients, a scalp-first philosophy, zero fragrance, and plant-based ingredients I feel good about using on myself and recommending to others.

✨ This photo represents one person’s individual experience. Results vary, and this post is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Helping people feel more confident is why I love what I do. It’s also why I’m so passionate about sharing products that align with my values. If you’d like help reading your ingredient labels or you’re curious about what makes FermaGlo different, send me a message. I’d love to help. 💕
