New Set for an existing client. These were a weird challenge, but turned out great.

I sat down to practice some art for my trip to Maui at the end of the month, but this set by (final slide) caught my eye and I had to try recreating this look. I will probably be wearing this or a *very similar* look on my trip. These are just absolute perfection.
What do you think? Would *you* wear these for the month of March?? I’d love to do these all month, on all my clients, if I’m being honest.

One of my most favorite sets of nails. These are short, hard gel, sculpted extensions with isolated chrome art. I think this set@truly highlights the progression of my skill over the last year and I am incredibly proud of how they turned out.
Just so happens I even get to stare at them every day, too, as they are on my own hands.
If you would like a similar look for your own nails, please let me know, I’d *love* to personalize a look just for you.

My first set of stamped nail art, thanks to the class from and middle of last month in NoHo California. It was such an incredible class; I learned SO MUCH and met some fabulous women, and had a great time traveling by myself.

After a lot of consideration, here are my updated prices along with a few minor changes to my offered services.
I no longer differentiate between fills and initial appointments, there is a starting flat rate based on length of natural nails. Pricing for fills (maintenance appointments) will be the same if appointments are booked between 2 & 4 weeks. These start at $60 for short natural nails. Most of my current clients have short to medium length.
Maintenance appts booked at 4.5 weeks will be charged an additional $10 for a full rebalance (these appts take longer and require more product).
Sets with significant lifting or damage will require an additional $20 charge for a full removal and fresh application of product.
If you have any questions or need clarification on anything, *please* contact me and I will help clear things up. I have spent a lot of time creating this new pricing system, but I know it is new to you and may take some time to fully understand.

Nail Art is an almost constantly shifting target. Pricing will reflect time spent and complexity of design choices. I will no longer offer glitter (loose or gel) in the base nail pricing. The same thing goes for all-over chrome and isolated chrome accents. All of these additions require extra time, precise skill and additional product to maintain the integrity of the nails. I will now charge accordingly — please see price sheet for details.
~*~*~*~*~
Shorten & Reshape — occasionally everyone wants to try out a new nail shape. Oval to almond or stiller, square to oval, etc, Or wants a significant decrease in length of their new set. This process adds quite a bit of time to each appointment, and I will be charging for this.
I will not charge extra for small changes in length that are required to keep your nails manageable between appointments. This is included in your maintenance appointments.
~*~*~*~*~
Repair or Rebuild — Repairing chips or cracks on the free edge or at the growth points has and will continue to cost $5 per nail. If the damage is extensive enough to require a full rebuild of the nail, I will charge a flat rate of $15 for the first 4 nails that need rebuilding. If more than four nails need rebuilding, it will be treated as an extension appt and pricing will reflect this.
~*~*~*~*~
I still offer extensions — sculpted hard gel extensions pricing based on length, starting at $75 for short length. Overall, I only have a couple of clients who even use extensions after a few months. Most clients switch over to structured manicure (overlay) over their natural nails, as my techniques and meticulous care of their cuticles and natural nails enables them to grow their own nails to whatever length is desired.
I have therefore removed extensions as a bookable service in Gloss. If this is a service you are interested in, please DM (or text me @ 541-214-0092) and we can discuss your custom service.

I know I don’t post often; something I want to do better with this year. This has been a tough decision, and I know I’ve mentioned my pricing changes to at least a few of you already. This is in effect as of January 1st, 2025.
I will follow this with a (pinned) post containing my updated pricing. These can also be found on my instagram stories and highlights.

Text for slides — (first slide) More than anything, I want to say a HUGE thank you for your continued support and for trusting me with your nail goals. Every one of you make this job so rewarding, and I’m beyond grateful for each and every one of you who has been part of this journey with me, whether you’re a regular, a infrequent or a new client! I quite literally couldn’t do this without each and every one of you.
(Second slide) As we move into 2025, I need to let you know that there will be a small price increase for my services. This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s necessary in order to keep delivering the best quality service and product. From sourcing the highest-quality gels to investing in ongoing education and training to perfect my craft, I’m constantly working to give you the nails of your dreams. These costs have been steadily rising, and this change will help me continue to bring you the most up-to-date techniques and products.
(Third slide) I truly appreciate your understanding and support, and I can’t wait to keep making your nails as fabulous as ever. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—I’m always here to chat!
Thank you again for being part of my nail journey, I wouldn’t be here without you. You all rock, and I can’t wait to see you in 2025!
Below you will find my new price and service sheet. Some of my services have been removed due to utter lack of popularity, and most have been simplified to make booking and (in all honesty) math easier for both of us.

A few of my favorite Spooky-season sets from this year. There were more, but as is typical, I forgot to take photos of them. I’m already getting excited for next year, yep.

I absolutely loved creating this set for a fantastic client. I needed to rebuild a few nails so all the lengths matched and I finished them with some fun isolated chrome.

This was a seriously fun set to create. On my dominant hand, no-less. I am my only “client” currently who has extensions. And that is honestly only because I am also my *worst* client. I do not care for my nails how I’m supposed to. I don’t use cuticle oil, I don’t wear gloves while washing dishes, and I treat my beautiful nails as tools.
Don’t be like me. Be kind to your nails; be kind to your enhancements. At some point, I’ll treat my nails kindly and switch to overlays.

.kellyyy came to me about a month ago, looking for an independent nail technician who was willing to work with a pre-existing allergy to acrylic products.
After having acrylic extensions applied for a few years, Abby developed contact dermatitis — a type of acute or chronic inflammation caused by exposure to chemical or physical agents.
Unfortunately she didn’t know how hat the cause of this was and the nails techs continued applying product ultimately leading to a diagnosis of Dyshidrotic eczema (a common form of eczema that causes small, intensely itchy blisters on hands and fingers) that requires periodic injections to help manage the symptoms.
On her own, she discovered one hard gel that she doesn’t react to, which I purchased ahead of her first appointment. I am more than comfortable working with Abby because I am meticulous about preventing un-cured product from touching any skin, as well as passionate about natural nail & cuticle health.
This set is Abby’s third, and already her nails are longer and her cuticles reflect the care and attention I pay them at each appointment. I am so thrilled to be a part of her nail-health journey.
