Meet Kat. ❤️

Kat is my chemist and the woman behind Pure Artisan Labs in Albany, Oregon. She is also a HUGE part of what makes JF Ritual Beauty what it is.

I come to this woman with approximately 472 ideas at a time. 😂 I tell her what I want, how I want it to feel, how I want it to smell, what I want the experience to be… and then we work together to create it.

Kat knows formulation. She knows ingredients. She knows the science behind what we are making, and she uses INCREDIBLE ingredients. I trust her completely with something that has become incredibly important to me.

Could I buy products that are already made, put JF Ritual Beauty on the label and sell them? Absolutely.

But that’s not what I wanted.

I wanted to actually CREATE a brand.

I wanted to know who was making my products. I wanted to be involved. I wanted them made right here in Oregon. And I wanted to be able to stand behind what is inside every single bottle and jar with my name on it.

That’s what Oregon Made • Created With Intention means to me.

There are actual people behind this brand. There are conversations, ideas, samples, changes, excitement and a LOT of work happening before you ever see the finished product.

And Kat is a huge part of it. ❤️

Today I got to spend some time in the lab with my husband and our chemist Kat while working on something we’ve been quietly creating:

The JF Ritual Beauty Men’s Collection.

And can I just say…watching my husband in the lab was unexpectedly hot. 😂🔥

But what I love most about this collection is that we aren’t creating just another “men’s line.”

I wanted products that men would actually want to use, from the formulas and fragrances to the way they feel and perform. Today I got to bring my husband into that world, let him experience what we’ve been creating, smell the fragrances and give us his perspective.

And after smelling what we have coming…Y’ALL. 😍

This one is GOOD.

We’re talking skincare. Grooming. Beard care. Incredible fragrances. An entire ritual created specifically with him in mind.

Today, my chemist and I had the opportunity to attend Doug Schoon’s Advanced Chemistry seminar together, and I absolutely LOVE that we got to experience this education side by side. When I started JF Ritual Beauty, I knew I wanted to create something with intention. I don’t just want to know that a product works or feels amazing, I want to understand WHY.
The ingredients. The chemistry. The formulation. The safety. The science behind the products we create and put into your hands. Having a chemist who shares that same desire to continue learning, asking questions, and growing means so much to me. There is an incredible amount of thought, education, testing, science, and collaboration that happens behind the scenes before a JF Ritual Beauty product ever makes its way to you.

Today was another day of learning together, and another reminder of exactly what I want this brand to stand for.
