Caught this early-morning shot of our young yarrow patch while shooing the flicker away from loudly tapping on the chimney top this morning. Does anyone else have woodpecker and/or flicker neighbors who just love to peck at gutters and stovepipes at 6am? And only on days when the toddler sleeps in 🫠

The new yarrow patch is growing fast! Soon we’ll be harvesting this incredible plant for our Renewal Healing Salve and Cultivate Hand Cream ✨

Harvesting “lendula” (toddler speak for calendula) with our favorite apprentice. Next, we will dry the blooms and use them in our Renewal Healing Salve, Cultivate Hand Cream, Ink Spray Tattoo Aftercare and many of our lip balms 🌼🌼🌼

The Domowik (Poland) or Domovoi (Russia) is a Slavic hearth deity and protector of the home. This (generally) benevolent entity will help with household chores and guard your home from misfortune. Sometimes taking the form of yourself or a family pet, the Domowik may be seen pulling weeds or chopping wood at odd hours. Keep the house tidy and leave the Domowik offerings to stay on his good side. If things keep breaking around the house or if personal items go missing, you may have angered the Domowik! Nothing a small offering of to***co and fine food wont fix. One final tip: don’t speak his name aloud after sunset!
