Hello family and friends and clients new and old.
Just an informational piece for hair services as we move into the new normal.
I just want to inform everyone that even if you have been vaccinated I am treating everyone that comes to the salon as though they haven’t been vaccinated.
Risk factors are still out there vaccinated or not.
Please keep in mind that if you leave Oregon 14 days before your appointment, someone comes to visit you that has been out of Oregon or around anyone who has traveled 14 days before your appointment; I need to know to reschedule you.
As well as if you have been to any social gatherings or functions in a group more than 6; 14 days before your appointment we need to reschedule. Around any one who has had a fever, cold or Covid like symptoms.
I do realize this is an inconvenience for some and I apologize, but it’s for the safety of everyone concerned: these still continue to be uncertain times.
I want to continue to keep my business open and these safety policies are what I need to do at this time.

Information on Re-Opening Jenny's Hair Salon.

Today Kate Brown released the opening of hair salons to begin. My phone is on fire; so I thought I would address this information to all that would like to have it.

Jenny's Hair and Company in not going to open until June 1 at the earliest.

The guidelines for opening is a restrictive situation. All of the stylist have items ordered to conduct business and get all of our new protocol into place. We also have a 6 foot distancing issue in our salon that is going to take some work and maneuvering to make work for everyone.
We are all still waiting for things to arrive and need to work out the bugs for the opening.

OPENING REQUIREMENTS FOR CLIENTS

Everyone must have a scheduled appointment; no walk ins.
Everyone will be required to wear a face mask in the salon; clients and stylists.
Everyone will have to fill out a state required client information card for Colvid-19 tracing.
Everyone will need to sigh a waiver before service.
Everyone must maintain 6 foot distancing.
Everyone must have temperature taken before service.
Everyone must wash hands before the service.
Everyone must wait outside or in their cars.
No one is allowed to stay in lobby area or wait inside salon; pick up and drop off of family, friends etc. must be available for pick up once service is done.
Everyone must leave food and beverages outside or in car; except medical reasons.
Everyone getting a haircut will be asked to pre-wash hair before arriving.
No blow drying appointments only; at this time.
No public restrooms at this time.
All transactions, and scheduling will take place at your stylists chair.

Do to our heavily required sanitation practices on top of our normal sanitation: We could most likely run late for your unitl we get a new rhythm to the new normal. This is for the safety and wellbeing of all our clients and stylists. So we apologize for any inconvenience this could cause as we maneuver through this new process.

Between now and opening things can change. Please feel free to contact us or your stylists if you have questions or concerns. If you have any signs or symptoms please call and cancel your appointment.

Happy day to everyone.

I just wanted to reach out to all of you, this is directed more to my dear friends, and clients that have their hair done in my salon.
I have had many people texting and emailing me the petition that is going around to allow stylist to resume work with hopefully stringent guidelines. I just wanted to mention that I will not be signing the petition.
This is only a petition at this point. This petition is based on need not a necessity; however I due realize the financial ramifications, as it is also effecting my business in the same manner.
I will leave the decision each stylists makes for themselves and their clients. It is not for me to judge everyone else decisions.
Based on the data my husband and it I am reading about this; there is still to much of a safety issue for myself and my clients, regardless of the precautions. We are being advised to stay home and stay safe. This order I am respecting for my family and our well being
I would ask all of you that I love and care about that have appointments with me or were planning on making one; to please call or text me to move your appointment in June.

Jennys Hair and Company is proud to announce our newest stylist. Katherine Hoist.
She will be starting October 7 and is looking forward to meeting you and your family. She will be offering discounts to first time clients.

As a teenager, Kathryn began seriously experimenting with creative hair color and stylish updos for her friends. She graduated from UCSD and began working that office life but hair kept calling her as her true passion. She decided to get her certification while working full time and fulfilled a lifelong dream.

Kathryn has now been professionally cutting and coloring hair for 4 years. She moved to Eugene more than a year ago from Huntington Beach, CA and has never looked back. She loves the way a haircut or new color can change the confidence and self love of her clients. Kathryn strives to help her clients achieve their most authentic selves through hair whether that means frequent drastic changes or maintaining the best look. She is so excited to work with the locally loved Jenny and Company salon!
