It has been 24 hours since I did the microneedle treatment on my face. I cleansed my skin for the first time since the treatment with a gentle cleanser made for sensitive skin (Aveda’s is my favorite) and I’ve been using my copper and zinc spray every few hours to bring back some hydration and protection. Then I used a light moisturizer to lock that in.
My skin feels a little rough to the touch and is dry and a little bit itchy.
This is completely normal and expected. I can expect this for the next few days and even some light peeling
This happens because your body starts to rapidly generates new, healthy skin cells to replace the damaged surface tissue. As new epidermal cells push upward, the dead, damaged outer cells shed all at once, resulting in visible peeling or flaking.
I’ll keep updating as the days go on 🙂

I finally have cleared up my skin enough to microneedle myself! I did this to target my acne scars, texture, and pores. The first three images are before treatment.
