Evanston's first and only open water swimming event. Kid swim, 1K, 2K and 4K distance races. The event takes place in Evanston, IL, just north of Chicago.
The Great Lake Plunge is Evanston's first and only open water swimming event. The event consists of four events: 1K, 2K, or 4K open water swims and a children's 200 meter swim. This is a non-profit event with the goal of raising funds to support a wonderful organization: Evanston Swims! This is a very unique, family friendly, event that will leave an impression for years to come.
