This is a bittersweet moment for us 🩷

One of our very loved girls is moving back to her hometown, and two of our girls have taken on the exciting next step into booth rental— which means we officially have room to welcome someone NEW into our salon home.

We don’t open commission stylist positions very often, so we are so excited to find the right person to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about this industry, excited to grow their clientele, loves being apart of a team environment, has interest in extensions, and has an outgoing personality.

Anna has done it all! From being a client, to receptionist, to commission stylist, to now booth rent stylist. Our girl has been here since the very beginning & we are so grateful for her!

A much needed appreciation post 🤎

Lately while being on maternity leave, I’ve realized just how much truly goes into running a business and keeping everything running smoothly. Before now, it was just my every day to day, doing what I needed to as an owner.

These past 9 weeks, I’ve realized how important it is to have someone you completely trust helping carry it all.

When I knew maternity leave was coming, one of my biggest goals was to be able to truly step away, soak in this season with my family, and not feel like I needed to constantly worry about what was happening at the salon.

Thats where Tori Brinkmeyer comes in 🤎

Tori took on the role of Head of Operations almost three years ago and she truly has taken the reins. From handling the day to day, helping manage the team, solving problems, keeping things organized, and making sure everything continues running the way it should, she has taken so much off my plate.

As a business owner, handing over something you’ve poured so much of yourself into isn’t always easy, but having someone you trust enough to say “I’ve got it” is such a gift.

Because of Tori, I’ve been able to have a stress free (almost lol we’re still running a business over here) maternity leave that I dreamed about. I’ve been able to be present with my family and this new chapter in life while knowing my other baby is being taken care of.

There are so many people who see me as the face behind Southern Roots, but there are people behind the scenes who help make everything work. Tori is a HUGE part of that.

To my girl— I hope you know just how appreciated you are. Thank you for stepping up, taking ownership, loving this salon and team as much as myself, and allowing me to step away without a single worry. Southern Roots wouldn’t run the same without you, and I’m so thankful to have you in my corner. 🩷

We recently lost two of our amazing receptionists after they graduated college and landed internships in their fields. While we are SO excited and proud of them, that means Southern Roots is hiring!

We’re currently looking for both a part time + full time receptionist to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, organized, outgoing, and loves creating a welcoming experience for our clients! 🤎
