Definitely want to give yourself time for actual change to occur in the skin which doesn’t happen in one treatment. I suggest getting started a few months before the big day at minimum for maximum effects and to look your best! This allows us time to adjust your facial treatments to truly give you the best results!

You'll usually find me staying active—whether it's barre, weightlifting, kettlebell classes, or anything that challenges my core. Movement is one of my favorite forms of self-care.

Not all sunscreens work the same way.

Mineral sunscreens use ingredients like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to provide broad-spectrum protection. They sit on the skin's surface and help reflect and scatter UV rays. They're often well tolerated by sensitive, acne-prone, and post-treatment skin, which is one reason I personally prefer them.

Chemical sunscreens work differently. They absorb UV energy and convert it into heat before it can damage the skin.

Both types can be effective when used correctly, but I choose to carry mineral sunscreens because they tend to be gentler on the skin, less likely to cause stinging around the eyes, and are a great option for many of the clients I treat especially those with sensitive or blemish prone skin types.

If you've ever struggled with sunscreen irritation, burning eyes, redness, or your skin type is blemish prone, or sensitive, a mineral sunscreen may be worth considering!
