Hi everyone! It’s been AGES since I’ve posted on here, I’m so sorry! Momlife has me focused more on posting on my personal page, but I’m gonna start getting back to posting on here to share hair inspo for all of you looking for a color or cut! ❤️

Ok local peeps, this is HUGE! 😱 The CEO of the new hair care line I am going to be selling exclusively in my salon is personally flying down towards the end of this month to host a launch event with me before anyone can get their hands on the products! I feel so special and would be lying if I didn’t say I am a nervous Nelly!! 🫣😱

After a lot of stress and tears, I have a hard announcement to make. I am going to have to make stricter boundaries on my time behind the chair. After this month, I will no longer be doing appointments after 4pm or any weekends (except for a wedding or school dance.)

After having a second child and coming back to work, it has taken a huge toll on me physically and mentally. I am still not sleeping well with an infant, and also battling mild PPD this time around. When I work all day and into the evening, I am missing out on vital time and nighttime routines with my family and am running myself into the ground physically since my children are here with me when I work. I also barely see my husband during the week, and since my mother watches my children when I work, it’s exhausting to her to watch them all day and into the evening. I feel like I am running on fumes and I don’t want to lose my passion for doing hair simply because I am being stretched too thin trying to put everyone’s needs above my own.

This season of life for me is so special, but so hard. I hate having to make this boundary, knowing I could lose some of my favorite clients. Just know that this doesn’t come easily to me, and I’ve cried a lot of tears over it because many of you are dear friends of mine. I hope you all understand that this season of life requires me to slow down and be a mom above all else. I love you all and thank you all for the support you’ve shown my business. ❤️

💥💥💥💥Attention clients! From now on, payments via card will be charged a 3.5% fee. While calculating my taxes for last year, discovering the amount of money I have to pay in card fees was alarming and a lot of income lost. I hope you all understand!

Effecting starting Jan 2.

You will be expected to pay 30% of your appt if you cancel within 48 hours.

You will be expected to pay 50% of your appt if you cancel within 24 hours.

No-shows will be charged 100%.

I hate to add this extra charge for 48 hours, but my time is very valuable and it is very hard for me to fill cancellation slots last minute, making me lose income. I hope you all understand that I run a business and have a baby on the way and a family to feed ❤️❤️ thank you for understanding.

PSA for my clients ❗️‼️

After the last week or so in the salon, my body has unfortunately officially checked out on extensive colors and styles until baby girl is here. I am struggling to walk today and am having pretty rough back and hip pain (I’ve had two spinal surgeries so back pain is not something I’m foreign to) and I need to put my health and the health of my baby first.

As of today, I will not be able to blow dry and do a full style on clients. If you don’t want to leave with a wet head, you have the option to dry it yourself and I can MAYBE do a simple style if my body is feeling up to it. But I would prefer if you left with a wet head so I can get time between clients to kick my feet up and rest.

I will also not be doing full on colors that take me longer than 3 hours to accomplish. This is just too much time on my feet at one time, and I will get back to being a color master after baby girl is here. It breaks my heart to create these boundaries, but I know I have to or I simply won’t make it until the end of April doing hair. I will be maintaining whatever color you have to hold you over until I’m back from maternity leave. I’m so sorry if that postpones any fun hair changes you’ve had in mind. 😞 It really makes me feel terrible to say NO to certain colors and styles, but I just have to right now.

I really think I’d be doing better than I am if I didn’t have prior spinal issues and fibro, so please don’t think I’m just using my pregnancy as an excuse to not pamper you.

Please know that I value every single one of you and enjoy giving you a relaxing and fulfilling experience, but I have to put my health first. Thank you for your support. Let’s hope baby girl stays cooking until May!
