The RAW lift truth 🤫✨

Let’s be real…every blonde has maintenance. But here’s why I choose to leave a beautiful raw lift instead of automatically toning every blonding service 👇🏻

✨ It can be easier to maintain.
When the raw lift is clean + even, my clients can often maintain that brightness at home with strategic purple shampoo use instead of needing a toner refresh every 4–6 weeks.

✨ Toner isn’t the only thing responsible for how the hair feels after lightening.
My post lightening routine focuses on restoring what the hair actually needs. Using the appropriate strengthening/bond support products, bringing the hair back toward an appropriate pH, and replenishing moisture. My go-tos include K18 Hair + a moisture mask from Verb Products . 🙌🏻

✨ Sometimes I don’t WANT to mute that lift.
Even the prettiest toner can soften or slightly mute the brightness we just worked so hard to achieve. If I get a clean, bright, beautiful raw lift… sometimes that IS the color. 🤌🏻

👀 BUT hear me out. Toner is NOT the enemy.

There are absolutely situations where toning is necessary. Raw lift isn’t appropriate for every client, every canvas, or every blonding goal.

Hair history, starting level, underlying pigment, desired tone + maintenance all play a role in deciding whether I reach for a toner or leave that lift RAW. 👏🏻

The goal isn’t “never tone.”
The goal is knowing WHEN you actually need to.
