Iliopsoas & Hip Flexor Anatomy: Analysis by Dr. Muhammed Ziya

“This image highlights the psoas major, psoas minor, and iliacus—together forming the powerful iliopsoas muscle, the primary hip flexor. Also shown are the sartorius and re**us femoris, key muscles involved in hip flexion and knee movement.

These muscles are essential for walking, running, posture, and core stability. Tightness or weakness here can contribute to lower back pain, anterior pelvic tilt, and hip dysfunction.”

Massage Therapy Is on the Rise—Here’s Why That Matters

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects an 18% growth in the massage therapy profession between 2023 and 2033—much faster than the average for all occupations (4%), and even higher than other healthcare support roles (12%).

Why? Because more people are recognizing what many of us have known all along: healing is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.

In the midst of our fast-paced, modern lives, it's easy to overlook the intricate symphony of movements that our bodies perform each day. Rolf Movement® is a method that awakens your body's natural alignment and movement patterns. It invites you to reintroduce yourself to the beauty of your body's natural grace. By pausing to acknowledge your posture, your breath, and your movement patterns, you begin a profound exploration of self-awareness.

Rolf Movement is an extension of the notable Rolfing® Structural Integration method, pioneered by Dr. Ida Rolf. While the Rolfing 10-Series focuses on structural changes to bring the body into optimal alignment, Ida Rolf developed Rolf Movement to support and complete these structural changes.

Ida P. Rolf, who was born on 19th May 1896, developed Rolfing® Structural Integration. This bodywork method rests on her insight that the body is more at ease and functions most effectively when its structure is balanced in gravity.

Ida Rolf observed that over time, the field of gravity accentuates the body’s imbalances and diminishes its flexibility. To reduce gravity’s adverse effects on the body, she developed her original method of hands-on manipulation - which later became known as Rolfing® Structural Integration. Essentially, the Rolfing process enables the body to regain the natural integrity of its form, thus enhancing postural efficiency and freedom of movement.
