Meet Our Stylist | Erica Todd

Many of you may already recognize Erica from her years serving the Excelsior Springs community and as the owner of Uptown Roots Salon.

After taking a year and a half away from the salon to pursue other passions in health and wellness, she’s excited to officially be back behind the chair.. and doing what she loves most.

Uptown Roots Salon is still here, now conveniently located inside Ambiance Salon, where Erica specializes exclusively in luxury color services designed to enhance your natural beauty while maintaining the health and integrity of your hair.

With over 21 years as a licensed cosmetologist and 15 years as a licensed esthetician, Erica brings decades of experience, advanced education, and a commitment to continually mastering the latest color techniques and trends. She also offers brow shaping, brow tinting, and facial waxing to complete your experience.

Beyond the salon, Erica is a certified Pilates instructor and wellness coach who believes beauty begins from within. Her goal has always been to help women feel confident.. not just in how they look, but in how they feel. Every appointment is designed to be more than a salon visit. It’s a chance to relax, recharge, and leave feeling like the very best version of yourself.

You’ll find Erica at Ambiance Salon on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, where she’s thrilled to welcome both familiar faces and new guests.

Owner/Stylist

With 28 years of experience behind the chair, she has built her career doing what she loves in the hometown she proudly calls home. She specializes in custom color and highlights, helping women look and feel their absolute best.

One of her favorite parts of being a stylist is connecting with her clients. She believes great hair starts with great conversation and loves building lasting relationships with the women who sit in her chair.

When she’s not at the salon, she’s a devoted wife, mom, and proud Gigi. She enjoys spending time with her family, getting lost in a good book, and making memories with the people she loves most.

Her passion is simple: helping every woman leave her chair feeling beautiful, confident, and cared for. ✨
