Saline tattoo removal is a procedure that uses a saline solution to draw tattoo ink or pigment out of the skin. It can be used to lighten or fully remove tattoos, certain pigments used in cosmetic tattoos don’t respond well to laser treatment. The ingredients in these pigments can be very different from those used in conventional ink, and laser treatment could change the color of some rather than lightening them. While saline removal may not be 100% effective in completely removing all previous pigment, after 2-4 sessions it will have significantly lightened to the point where I am able to work over the area.
