As we pay attention to our faces regarding to skincare, there seems to be another area we forget. That is our hands! After more than a year of hand sanitizers and multiple hand washings every day, the skin on our hands becomes extremely dry and rough. The skin on our hands is thinner and has less oil glands than the face. Moisturizers will help restore hydration. Serums will treat the wrinkles and cracks on those hands. Lets not forget to keep those cuticles clean and well groomed to protect from bacterial infections.

Today I attended a second 3 hour seminar regarding some new products I am now carrying. I couldn't be more excited about a product and what benefits it can bring for my clients.
As most of you know, whenever I find something that I feel will add a definite difference for my clients skin, I will take it on and make it available for such clients.
I have been testing several of the products for some time now, and am duly impressed! I can't wait for you to be able to experience them too!
It is Spring! Spring and Summer means you'll be spending more time outside and this will impact your skin in different ways than during Fall and Winter.
So, as you approach these new seasons, the following are 4 ways you can keep your skin healthy:
1. Reduce oil - opt for a lighter moisturizer rather than the heavy-duty one you used during the fall and winter months.
2. Remove Dirt - and this is accomplished with the use of exfoliant cleansers. Make sure you are not over-exfoliating!
3. Protect Skin- (as you should be doing 365 days/year) with the best SPF. An additional protectant includes Vitamin C, which not only protects but helps to recover skin cells.
4. Reduce Inflammation - If you struggle with irritated and red skin during Spring, it will help to be using a gentle fragrance-free skincare routine.
I'm still trying to figure out how Facebook business pages work. I'm not sure that I like this new format.
Sorry I've been absent for so long, but hopefully I will now be able to get back on tract.
Since I'm now back in my treatment room, I have made another change. I will now be seeing clients on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & a couple of Saturdays per month. Hopefully this will help many of you and your schedules.
"Mother's Day" is just around the corner. I can help you!

....continuing on how to layer your products like a Pro.
Here is a quick rundown on layering products in order to get the greatest performance from them.
Toner is first - removing dead skin cells, dirt and oil while while preparing for serums to pe*****te more effectively.
Serums are second in line, because they are your workhorses. You may be using more than one and that's a good thing and highly recommended. Since most serums are of like weight and non-occlusive, so you should be okay in the order you apply.

Did you know that building your skincare products in a particular order matters? There is only one golden rule to remember when layering skincare products and that is "Light to heavy"
The following is a list of some improvements in cell renewal (using Glycolic Acid):
~ Age spots & hyperpigmentation, firmness, texture, reduction of fine lines and the increased moisture levels:
~ Improve, soften and eliminate rough, dry, callous skin within weeks. May be used over the entire body as well as the face.
~ Age spots & hyperpigmentation will be reduced.
~ Glycolic Acid can pe*****te a pimple to improve exfoliation and it then goes deep to cleanse the pore and reduce the production of new comedones.
~ Makes shaving much easier by controlling dryness, irritation and uneven texture.
If any of the above strikes a yes for you, I suggest you look into adding Glycolic Acid to your skincare regimen! You can reach me with additional questions at 916.417.5674
Glycolic Acid is the most adaptable and beneficial AHA.It's tiny Molecular structure is exactly what makes it's pe*******on the superior benefit over all other AHA's. It enters the epidermis to accelerate the body's exfoliation process. It then "loosens" the glue that bonds your cells together allowing thickened and dead cells to "disappear". zit is a slight irritant on the skin and nothing more. You need to know that there is no such thing as a moisturizing Glycolic Acid. The end result is smoother skin with better coloration, tone and texture. If you have not already, are you ready to try it?
You will see improvements in cell renewal, firmness, texture, reduction of fine lines and increased moisture levels.
Why do I feel glycolic acid is an important part of most people's skincare regimen?
Your skin is the largest organ of your body, composed of three basic sections. It is the epidermis that we see, touch and feel. It's cells rise to the surface and flake off microscopically. This natural process of exfoliation occurs all day, every day, quite inconspicuously. However, this process slows down do to the aging process. This natural exfoliation is also influenced through smoking, alcohol, stress, sun and tanning beds. Note that sun and tanning bed exposure generate 90% of the skin's damage. zit shows up as age spots, skin cancer, discoloration, and wrinkles. Proper and simple skincare maintenance can help to prevent damage and the ravages of aging. This is where I add glycolic acid to the skincare regimen. Amazing what it will do for your skin and keep it that way!
