Had so much fun working with and for an upcoming issue. (Shhhhh 🤫 don't spill the beans though cause it's top secret 😉)

As always creating volume AND definition is a challenge because they are opposites on the curl-styling spectrum... max volume = no definition and max definition = no volume. Luckily, our favorite (Mr. Threets ) was up for some shaping and support from hairspray, perfectly picked products and a complete curl-affirming pre-treatment and strategic 'fro-inducing pick-out to balance the volume and definition for today's shoot with at the amazing indie bookstore for magazine 😍

Tight coil definition, tight shape. Tight 😎

Ah... these two. I've been their hair lady for a couple years+ now and they each have their own very specific instructions on how their hair should look. Gotta love kids.

I'm tell'n ya---curly bobs are very "now" ☺️ let me cut off all the long hair she's been growing for years in exchange for summer freedom. The goal specifically...to be able to air dry after a day at the pool. I love it and I hope you do too this summer my friend!!

18months after a hair shed, has a lot of new growth and was ready to remove those longer straggley looking ends and her Wash & go style is bouncing back with a good shaping.

Silky flat roots with fine curls and waves can be weighed down easily... so--we lifted the whole shape and embraced a s**g shape to reveal the curls underneath while giving the looser waves on top some oomph.

Mama...Many of us pass through shorter hair phases when we become mothers.
Often it's because we have less and less time to dedicate to our hair and or because we want to blend in postpartum hair regrowth (cutting longer lengths makes that easier) and for others it's freeing to shed the long hair lengths and view cutting off hair as a right of passage into a new stage in life.
