A little life update from your favorite hairstylist…

I’m going to be completely honest for a minute. I’m burnt out.

I’ve been working 7 days a week, often 12–15 hours a day, and while I am incredibly grateful for every single one of you, I’m realizing that I need to make some changes before I completely run myself into the ground.

If you’ve texted, messaged, or DM’d me and haven’t heard back, please know I’m not ignoring you. My inboxes have become overwhelming, and I simply don’t have the capacity to keep up with them all right now. That’s on me for having a hard time saying no and trying to fit everyone in.

Here’s how you can help me help you:

✨ Please schedule your appointments a few visits in advance whenever possible. If you need to make changes, I completely understand, but desired appointment times may not always be available.

✨ Online booking is now open! Unless you’re checking out in the salon after your appointment, I encourage you to book future appointments online whenever possible:

✨ This one feels a little awkward to say, but I’m going to say it anyway. While I genuinely enjoy catching up with you and hearing about your lives, carrying on conversation for several hours every day can be mentally draining. Some appointments I may choose to listen to a podcast, audiobook, or music while I work. Please don’t take it personally—sometimes I just need to zone in on your hair and conserve a little mental energy. Feel free to bring a book, headphones, or simply enjoy some quiet time.

✨ I have squeezed in a few new clients here and there, but effective immediately I will not be accepting new clients unless you have a pending gift certificate. If you have a gift certificate, please let me know when requesting an appointment so your appointment isn’t accidentally declined.

I hope this doesn’t come across as rude. The reality is that I love what I do, I love my clients, and I want to continue giving you my best. To do that, I need to set a few boundaries and create a little more balance.
