We are so excited and honored to host Farzad Salehi, who has 30+ years of experience in the barber industry. He is especially known for his shaves, detailed techniques, and his classes being extremely thorough.

This will be a 3 hour workshop with extremely limited spots! (FOR LICENSED PROFESSIONALS ONLY) Sunday, October 9th from 9:30am-1:00pm.

We are looking to add onto our front desk crew! Someone who can be professional, hard-working, and goofy. Currently asking for someone to commit to part time availability but the role may lead to full time and more hours if desired.

We will be resuming beard trims and shave services starting July 1st. You will be able to schedule these as we get closer to that date. We want to make sure everyone is comfortable with this update, so all crew members will remain masked and we require that all patrons still wear masks in our shop until instructed by your barber during the appointment. We’re all in this together; Our masks protect you and your masks protect us.

We’ve reached our 6 year anniversary here at The Standard. We are grateful to all of you who have kept us busy this past year and have supported us in every way! March 15th isn’t just the day of our anniversary, but marks when we had to shut down for 3 months! Let’s hope 2021 gives us a break, rather than kicking us in the nuts. The Standard Barbershop is looking to hire a dependable and reliable front desk receptionist. Our ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, professional, great with communication, loves dogs, and can also work hard like the rest of the crew.

This position is not only limited to answering calls and booking appointments, but also is about having great customer service since they are the first and last person that clients interact when visiting. Our front desk is demanding, and fast-paced. People with hospitality industry or customer service experience are preferred.

We at The Standard are very grateful to have made it through this crazy year so far and we couldn't have done it in these unprecedented times without the amazing support of Fairfax City, clients, and our crew. We have gone through two shutdowns and never seem to know what phase we're in/what day it is, but we are stronger now with new ways on how to grow and learning to accept all the challenges this year has given us.
