Our first round of shelter donations was a huge success! Many thanks to the clients who have contributed. Sega, our first shop dog was adopted here at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter so it was only fitting to bring things full circle.

Reminder that this collaboration with Fairfax County Animal Services is ongoing so there is no deadline if you wanna help!

We are looking for:
-New/unopened cat and dog food
-New/unopened cat and dog treats
-New or gently used towels
-New/unopened cat litter
-New/still in packaging toys

📢 DONATIONS NEEDED 📢

If there's one thing to know about us here at The Standard, it's that we all love animals!

There has always been a shop dog within these walls since our 2015 opening date and it's been great to see this shared affection amongst guests.

We are hosting a donation drive with Fairfax County Animal Services and are looking for new/ unopened food, treats, and toys! All donations are to benefit pets at Fairfax County Animal Services.

There is no deadline so drop any items off at The Standard anytime!

Included in this post are the most goodest boys and girls that have visited, with a extra photo to our OG shop mascot, Sega ❤️🌈 We miss you every day.

The Standard Barbershop has a position available for a part time Front Desk Assistant.

We are searching for someone personable who is detail-oriented, dependable, and who has a minimum of 2 years in hospitality or customer service experience.

This candidate must be able to commit a minimum of 16 to 24 hours a week - primarily on our busiest days (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays) with future opportunities to grow as our business evolves.

This Saturday, 4.18 is Record Store Day!

Record Store Day consists of special vinyl, CD releases, and various promotional products that are made exclusively for this nation wide event.

Our neighbors at thoroughly plan out details to ensure everything is well organized and safe for all.

That said, the line can get massive - We've seen people camp out a whole 24 hours in advance, in the rain AND get a tent delivered for shelter.

*Now for the special note: our shared parking lot will be limited in availability as we support them this weekend. Friday afternoon, the lot will be half blocked off and Saturday will be closed entirely until the line dies down. Those with appointments have been notified but allot some extra time for parking!*
