Anyone can say they’re a hair extensions specialist, but how can they prove it??? This is what to look out for⬇️⬇️ 1. Photos/videos of their extension work. I don’t just mean the after shot, I mean the inside work. What’s going on under the hood. A Lamborghini looks good in the outside but jf it engine is jacked up, it ain’t drivin. 2. Unfortunately certifications don’t mean anything. Too many times I’ve had new clients come to me saying they went to a stylist that was “……... Certified” and their hair was jacked up. I’m certified in 5 different methods. None of them taught me the physics of hair. They taught me to install beads and thread their way, and that it would work on every client. Wrong. Only one person took the time to education me on the physics of hair so I would stop ripping people hair out. Thank you @paintandpixie @morethanamethod 🤍 3. Is their clientele 75% or more extension clients?? I wouldn’t consider someone an extension specialist unless the majority of their day consists of actually doing hair extensions. How would you know this about a stylists? Because they’re posting about it on their socials. What they post is what they DO. Pay attention ✌🏻 There are so many other factors that go into making someone an extension specialist like color matching, color blending, cutting, etc. but these are the major things to pay attention to.
