JEAN•|| love how you can use the same shade of blonde on different people and it could look different spending on how much or how little you foil and the placement of the foils. Obsessed with this shade of blonde! I have been having so much fun doing makeovers on my clients, and giving their hair some much needed TLC! 💖💁🏼‍♀️

SUSAN ✨ where do I start with her lol she’s like a ray of sunshine. Everytime she comes, she has me laughing the whole appointment. Actually, she has the whole salon laughing.. 😂 It was so good to see her literally brightens up my day! ☀️
—> swipe does before!

MAE• Another mommy makeover! LOVE the shorter do on her. She was hesitant for the change but I knew it would look good. Let’s be honest, moms work so hard and they definitely need some pampering after being home with their husband and kids during quarantine. Working, home schooling, being a mom/wife, it can be mentally and emotionally exhausting! So I’m always happy when I get the chance to make them feel good when they are in my chair. It’s also so nice to just catch up with everyone and hear about how they have been doing. 💖

HELEN 💕 so happy to not only get my hands in her hair and give her a little mommy makeover, but got to catch up with a friend. I haven’t gotten to see her in person since pre pandemic It was so niceI almost didn’t want the appt to end! So crazy how there are so many small things we took for granted like just meeting up with a friend In persona. But, so happy I got to see her and her son Lucas. I think what I’ve missed even more is getting to visit my friends kids. 🧒🏻👧🏻 Also, we usually don’t allow you to bring your kids or anyone to your appt. But he was in there really quick for a cut. I am loving everything about her new look! We chopped off some Length and took out ALOT of the weight in her hair. Gave her some wispy bangs and transitioned her into this “mushroom brown” color.

JULIANNE• Major hair makeover! I love the shorter cut on her. I’ve been doing so many shorter cuts lately and it’s giving me all the summer vibes! ☀️*swipe for the before!

CLAUDIA☀️ We decided to go lighter this time and keep her hair longer. We balayaged her and did hairline babylights around her part line. Swipe to see her first session with me! I honestly love both the shorter blunt cut and the longer lob look on her but living for this blonde! It’s been so nice catching up with my clients these past couple of weeks. So interesting to hear what everyone did while In quarantine and what new hobbies they picked up. We started talking about plants (because we have so many in the salon) and I know nothing about plants. My coworker @tanya.takohairstudio is plant mama, they started talking about their plant babies and now they have become plant buddies! I thought it was the cutest thing. She found her plant people while at the salon getting her hair done! 🌿🎋🌵

You know it’s time to get some sh*t done when you got that hair up in a ponytail. Either that or its hair wash day and you too lazy and trying to stretch it a extra day so it’s in a ponytail. How many of you women can relate? Instead of having it up try putting some dry shampoo in your hair. I like to do this the day I wash my hair after I wash and dry it when it’s freshly clean. This helps it from getting oily too fast and adds a bit of texture and volume. You can also accessorize your ponytail with cute scrunchies or hair clips when you are trying to go a extra day. Be creative, the possibilities are endless!

** swipe to see the @kevin.murphy dry shampoo that I like to use!

AMY• lived in locks are my favorite. Soft subtle and low maintenance

SARAH• left picture was taken by a iPhone and right was taken by a Nikon camera. Can you tell the difference? It’s slight... right his a little more true to how it looks in person. Her natural color isn’t as dark so you can see the lighter pieces towards her roots area more and her blonde is slightly cooler as well. The picture on the left was with my iPhone. I had to move around to different areas in the salon to find the best lighting so it could reflect how it looked on person. When I take pictures at night it’s little bit more tricky because there is no natural light shining in. Some areas her hair looked warmer even though it was super ashy in person. We have awesome lighting in the salon so this is just another PSA that hair color looks different in different lighting and time of day.

LAURA🤍 That blend & That ashy goodness! Sometimes I like to curl the hair and sometimes I like to keep it straight. Most of the time my clients don’t curl their hair on a daily basis so I like to show them how it looks straight. It was my first time doing her hair but we had lots in common to talk about! I did a partial balayage and hairline babylights for this look.

CHRISTINA•| not All balayage needs to be blonde! Love this natural lived in look on her. Just needed a little something something to brighten her up. Getting her hair wedding ready! It was so much fun catching up and I think we literally talked the whole appointment. Every appointment is like a therapy session for the both of us and i look forward to it. Love her passion for the work that she does for high risk kids. She’s a Gem 💎

JENNIFER 🌼 sometimes i just love a good hair transformation. Swipe to see the before. It’s crazy that all of my pictures now everyone will have masks on... how times have changed. Big thank you to my clients who have made the transition back stress free by following all the guidelines to keep everyone safe and being super understanding. 💜

FiRST WEEK back at work is over! The first day I was hyped with so much energy, then the rest of the week slowly I’ve been getting more tired and and harder to wake up in the morning! Nonetheless, feels good to be back. One of my faves from this week. Bronde for LISA ✨ . Forgot to take a before picture, but touched up her roots, added lowlights to break up her previous blonde, and balayaged, to brighten some of her brassy pieces.

Do you remember how it felt like the night before the first day of school? Excited and Nervous, butterflies in your stomach. That’s how I felt the night before going back to work.

Yesterday was my first day back and it felt so good to reconnect with clients and get my hands in some hair! I honestly didn’t know how much I missed it until I was back at work. Don’t get me wrong I did love quarantine as well. Being able to have no plans and just slow down. I felt like a kid on summer vacation, I slept as late as I want and woke up whenever I wanted to. Binged on every single Netflix show, and lots of time home together with my husband( I’m going to miss our daily walks outside) . But 2.5/3 months were enough for me.

I’m glad to be back and excited to catch up with everyone. Can’t wait to see all of you in my chair!

Black Lives Matter

While you are home with nothing to do. Instead of just Netflix and chill, you can Netflix, chill while deep conditioning! Give your hair some TLC! My favorite masque right now is the @joico defy damage hair mask. Make sure you hair is towel dried and leave it in for AT LEAST 10 minutes then brush it through with a @thewetbrush or paddle brush. I do that so it is evenly distributed though the hair. Comment below and let me know which is your favorite hair mask! 🧖🏻‍♀️

JUDITH ✨ Throwback to one of the last colors I did before quarantine. She is the sweetest soul of a person. Although I have loved having all this time off, I am also grateful that the governor has extended businesses openings. Yes, it does sucks and I know some people are struggling but nothing can replace your health. If it’s not safe to hug your loved ones (siblings, parents, grandparents, nieces, nephews) it’s not safe to open up. Don’t get me wrong, I am as eager as anyone to get back to work, but us as stylists are literally risking our lives by going in to work. That being said, I am glad that we are giving time for the numbers to drop a little. I am so grateful for the support I get from my fellow stylist friends, who are going through the same thing and for my amazing clients who have been so understanding and patient through all of this. Even though going back to work will give me so much anxiety because the virus will still be present, I truly can’t wait to see all of you back in my chair! I’ve missed everyone! ❤️

For all of you that don’t know I have changed locations! Not to worry! I will still be in Fairfax! You can find the address in my Bio. Can’t wait to see you all there! Quite a few of you have been messaging me on when I will be back at the salon. As of right now, it will be the first week of June. I will be reaching out soon to reschedule your appointments starting with the clients that already had appointments previously booked. Also, due to the fact that the virus is still circulating, there will be new protocols implemented for when you arrive for your appointment.
.
.
🚘First, please text me when you arrive and wait in your car. I will text back on when it is safe for you to come in after I have had time to disinfect my area and my previous client has left.
.
.
🌡 when you enter the Salon I will be taking your temperature with a infrared forehand thermometer
.
.
😷 Please arrive with a mask on. Also, be aware that it may get color on it or get wet. So you might want to bring a extra one. I will have one on as well for the duration of your appointment.
.
.
💦 I will ask you to wash your hands before we begin the appointment and will have sanitizer at my station as well.
.
.
🙅🏻‍♀️ Do not have ANYONE including children accompany you to your appointment, Unless they have an appointment with me as well. Bring only what you need and limit on Our waiting area will temporarily not be available for use.
.
.
I know it’s a lot but this is for the safety of me, you, and everyone that steps into the salon. I want it to be as safe as possible for when you come in for your appointment with me. This won’t be forever so please bear with me. Thank you for all of your patience and understanding during this difficult time! ❤️

This week has been tough for me. I’ve been feeling so much anxiety over a numerous of different things. 😓 I’m sure so many of you are going through and dealing with the same things and I am right there with you! But, what fills me with joy lately is catching up and messaging with my clients back and forth. Giving advice on their hair and how to maintain their color during this time. 💆🏻‍♀️Glad I can still be of some use to you all even though I can’t see you in the salon right now. I truly miss seeing you all and catching up with you in my chair. 😘I keep thinking and saying I can’t wait until things goes back to normal but I think we are going to come out of this better than normal. Come out of this more appreciative of things that we took for granted before this Pandemic 🦠, more appreciative of getting to meet up with friend and not have to be 6ft apart, going to grocery stores 🛒and have everything fully stocked while at the same time not scared that you will catch the virus just being in near proximity with another person. I also have a new level of appreciation for my clients. You all have been so supportive and understanding and I couldn’t be more grateful. 🙏🏼 For those of you that have put down a deposit for your appointment when I open up, to sending extra just because and out of the kindness of your heart 💜, even just texting to check in on how I am doing not being able to work right now. It is so appreciated and have filled me with so much joy 🤗 I am trying to view all of this as a blessing in disguise. As much as the uncertainty scares me I am doing my best to find the positivity in this!. 💪🏼 stay strong everyone!

ROXANNE•|| bringing some brightness onto your feed while everyone is quarantined at home. Due to orders from Virginia’s governor, the salon is mandated to shut down for 30 days. I promise I will reach out to everyone by the end of this week. Please be patient with me. 💛 Everyone be safe and stay inside If you don’t need to go out! Please, Our healthcare professionals Are depending on us to do that for them because they can’t. They are risking their lives for us so please keep that in mind. I say this because I have so many friends and clients that are in the healthcare profession. I have been speaking to them on what is going on and I worry about them. They are running out of supplies and my heart goes out to them because they are the most at risk! The sooner we all do this one simple thing, the faster we can have our normal lives back. I can’t wait for all of this to be over so I can get back to doing what i love, your hair! 😘

Thank you to all of my clients during these uncertain times for being so understanding and patient. I will be working extra days when I get back into the salon to fit Everyone in. My books will be closed till the 6th of April. If I haven’t reached out to you yet, please bear with me. I will be getting in touch with all of you in the next day or so. And for those who have offered to purchase gift cards or put down a deposit for your next appt, it is so GREATLY appreciated! From the bottom of my heart, I cannot thank you enough...🤍🤍🤍

LAUREN•|| some soft subtle sunkist ☀️💋blonde. Just in time for spring! 🌷It’s a shame we can’t go out and socialize but, at least you can have nice hair for all the selfies🤳🏻, Tik Tok Dance Videos💃🏻, and whatever everyone else is doing at home during this self distancing Quarantine!

LYLY•|| her hair usually looks so good straight after we tone it that i haven’t been curling it after but, since she went darker this time I decided to curl it. Sometimes you just his change it up!

CHRISTY•|| Before and after! I did a foilayage and added in lowlights to break up the orange and green at the end of her hair. Lowlights I did 5/1&6/1 Wella color touch and for the blonde I used Schwarzkopf blonde me with 20 vol. comment below if you would like to know the toner formula I used!

Something to inspirational and lighthearted to distract you all from all the craziness going in right now! Just let it go! Trying my best to take my own advice but, I would also like to take this time to let you all know that I am increasing the sanitation at the salon as well as taking some precautionary measures such as

wiping down my tools and station after servicing each client as well as in between. 🧽

Requiring each client to please wash your hands when you come in and leave the salon 👏🏼💧

If you are sick or have been in contact with someone who had been sick please reschedule your appointment 😷

Lastly Please refrain from bringing anyone other than yourself to the salon. This is for the safety of everyone in the salon not just me. 🙅🏻‍♀️

CATHRYN•|| something to brighten up you alls IG feed while you are at home! I did a mix of balayage and babylights on her to achieve this look and tipped out her ends to achieve maximum brightness ☀️ hope you all are staying safe out there! Also a friendly reminder to Practice good washing hands habit! My hands are so dry from all the washing and sanitizing!

Here are some super cute pictures I took of my client PAULINE✨ it was our first appointment together but by the end of it I swear it felt like I’ve known her forever already! Had so much fun with this one! But really... how cute are these pictures of her laughing? She couldn’t keep a straight face while I was taking her picture 😂

❄️ Iced out on JOSY! I did a full head of highlights and babylights on her and then a root melt. Turned out perfect! In love with this platinum icy blonde! I have clients tell me they were never able to get that blonde when really you just need to have patience and not rush and the hair will get there. Just a little tip of the day for my fellow hairstylists. 😘

Sometimes it just be like that.... so disappointing when this happens though don’t you think?! 😂😔

CHLO•|| This was a lot of foiling, but so worth it! I also thinned out some of the heaviness in the back of her hair and fixed some of the layering from a previous cut. But loving the end result!

Love the dimension, Color, everything in this picture! Surprisingly people have been wanting to go darker. I live doing blondes but I Love the richness of a darker color! 🌰🍫
