Fairfield's Place for Healing
Massage therapy, more than just pampering but paying attention to what the body needs with compassion
10/09/2026
When I cut my hand, it took me just two weeks to get back to massaging again. For a while, I was primarily using one hand, but I was determined to keep going.
When people tell me I heal fast, three things come to mind:
🔥 Determination.
☀️ Staying positive.
❤️ Being thankful.
I think our mindset matters more than we sometimes realize. The way we think can influence how we experience life, how we respond to challenges, and how we show up for ourselves and others.
When we focus on the positive, our perspective can change. We may start noticing opportunities instead of obstacles, appreciating what we can do instead of dwelling on what we can't, and finding reasons to keep moving forward.
And our physical well-being is connected to that experience, too. While a positive mindset doesn't guarantee faster healing, how we manage stress and care for ourselves can be part of the bigger picture.
One thing that really stuck with me during my recovery was hearing clients say, "I wouldn't know the difference if you didn't tell me you were only using one hand." 😂
That meant a lot to me.
It reminded me that massage isn't just about how much pressure you apply or how many hands you're using. It's about the flow, the movement, the attention, and the connection you bring to the work.
I'm thankful I could keep showing up for my clients, even when things weren't exactly how I wanted them to be.
Sometimes, a setback reminds you just how much determination, adaptability, and gratitude you have within you. 🌿

In need of a good massage?

I have a client that has been coming consistently weekly for a while now and said "I don't have face book but I wrote out a review you can use."
"I started to see Stephen for a frozen shoulder. His unique style of therapy has helped with my pain and mobility. The tools that he uses to aid in my healing are unlike other therapists I have seen. I always look forward to my appointments. Stephen is professional and his space is relaxing and inviting. I recommend Stephen for your therapy needs."

A little behind-the-scenes honesty for anyone who is new to Fairfield’s Place for Healing…
If you walk in and notice that my house isn't perfectly clean or that things look a little… here and there — there's a reason. 😂
This is still my home, and my family lives here. We're also in the middle of a transition as we're remodeling the downstairs and eventually moving the family upstairs.
So right now, things aren't exactly where I want them to be yet.
It will look very different once I have the entire downstairs dedicated to the business. But we're not there quite yet.
And honestly, it reminds me of a couple years ago when I was putting up the fence. Part of the reason for the fence was simply so you couldn't see all the kids' toys. 😂
I know many people love the way my massage space looks, and I'm proud of the environment I've created.
But if I'm being completely honest…
I'm much more concerned with how good your massage is than whether my house looks perfect. ❤️
I'm building something here — little by little.
The space will continue to evolve, but the care I put into your massage is something I don't want to compromise on.
YOU matter. The experience you have on the table matters.
The rest is still a work in progress. 🌿

One thing I’ve always wanted to do at Fairfield’s Place for Healing is offer things you simply don’t get everywhere else.
For a while, I put a lot of emphasis on the infrared light and vibroacoustic table — because they’re pretty cool additions to a massage.
But lately, I’ve been realizing something:
The massage itself is what makes the experience unique.
My bodywork isn't just about working on individual muscles.
It incorporates stretching, body flow, movement, rotation, and three-dimensional bodywork — allowing the session to move with your body rather than simply working on one area at a time.
Then you add the infrared light and vibroacoustic table...
Now you're not just getting a massage.
You're getting three experiences in one.
🌿 Unique bodywork
☀️ Infrared light
🎶 Vibroacoustic sound & vibration
Together, they create an experience.
And when you come consistently, it becomes something more:
A journey.
Each session builds on the last.
You become more familiar with your body.
You learn how it moves, where it holds tension, and what it needs.
That's what I want Fairfield's Place for Healing to be about.
Not just another place to get a massage.
An experience you can't quite get anywhere else. ❤️

Three things I always make sure you get from a massage:
🌿 You’re comfortable enough for your whole body to relax.
I want you to feel safe, comfortable, and able to truly let go.
🌿 Your problem areas are addressed.
If there’s something bothering you, I want to make sure we give it the attention it needs.
🌿 You leave feeling better than when you came in.
That’s always the goal — for you to walk out feeling like the time you spent on yourself was worth it.
YOU matter!! ❤️
Your body should feel that.
And if you ever leave feeling like one of these things wasn’t met, please tell me. I genuinely want your feedback. Your experience matters to me, and I want to keep improving how I care for you.
There are so many important parts of being your authentic self.
Inner peace.
Confidence.
Deeper relationships.
Feeling genuine.
Being true to who you really are.
I've had to shed a lot of layers over the years—things I picked up from other people, expectations, experiences, and ideas about who I was supposed to be.
I'm still finding my way back to myself.
And I've realized that one of the places I feel most like my authentic self is when I'm dancing.
There's something about movement where I don't have to think about what I'm doing. I just move.
Years ago, I actually brought that into my massage and called my style Dynamic Touch.
Over time, I slowed myself down. I started focusing more on individual areas, and honestly, I wasn't sure everyone was ready for the way I naturally wanted to work.
But lately I've been feeling drawn back toward it.
I want to let myself massage more authentically again.
So what might that look like?
More spontaneity.
Changing pace—sometimes faster, sometimes slower.
More continuous flow.
More movement.
Moving your body with the massage rather than simply working on it.
Less thinking.
More feeling.
More movement.
More me.
And maybe that's what makes a massage truly different—not trying to create something unique, but allowing yourself to do what comes naturally.
