1. Molding does matter — fine hair can be slicked down, however thicker hair must be braided flat — doesn’t have to be super small braids, but they must be flat to avoid helmet head.

2. When sourcing hair I’ve realized most Yaki textures blend best with thicker hair types. This also helps with keeping the style low-maintenance since it’s resembles our natural hair texture.

I’ve spent $30 for a full pack of quickweave hair that lasted me a week before tangling. And I’ve spent $250 on pack hair that lasted a month & some change before tangling — quality of brand does matter if you want curls!

3. Now when it comes to blending less can be more! All them oils will eventually weigh the hair down — try applying a dime-size of anti-frizz serum to your roots and ends only. It makes a world difference!
