In the event of a power outage, please follow the steps below to help protect your pool equipment and plumbing until power is restored.

POOL EQUIPMENT CHECKLIST
POWER OUTAGE

1. Turn Off & Disconnect Power
- Turn OFF all pool breakers at the main electrical panel.
- Do not attempt to run pumps, heaters, or automation systems without power.

2. Drain Pool Equipment
If power will be off for more than 12โ€“24 hours drain the following:

- Pump:
- Remove the drain plug(s) at the bottom of the pump housing.
- Filter:
- Open the air relief valve.
- Remove the filter drain plug.
- Heater:
- Remove heater drain plugs (usually 2).
- Salt System / Chlorinator:
- Remove drain caps if applicable.
- Booster Pump / Water Features:
- Remove drain plugs.
- the more valves and lids that can be open the better.

โš ๏ธ Store all drain plugs in the pump basket or zip loc bag so they are not lost.โš ๏ธ

3. Valves & Plumbing
- Set valves to an open/neutral position to allow water to drain.
- Do not force stuck valves.

4. Pool Care During the Outage
- Do not add chemicals unless instructed.
- Keep debris out of the pool as much as possible.

5. When Power Is Restored
- Do NOT reinstall drain plugs or turn power back on.
- Contact us before restarting equipment so we can ensure everything is safe and primed properly.
- If you notice leaks, cracked equipment, or unusual sounds, leave the system off and notify us immediately!

IMPORTANT
- Damage caused by freezing or improper restarts is not covered by routine service.
